Have nothing to do with the [evil] things that people do, things that belong to the darkness. Instead, bring them out to the light... [For] when all things are brought out into the light, then their true nature is clearly revealed...

Obama earns an “F” from the National Rifle Association

Anti-Barack Obama direct mail from NRA

This falls into the category of “so what else is new?” Of course the National Rifle Association (NRA) gives Obama an “F” because they have looked at his legislative record going all the way back to 1996, including his denials and dismissals concerning where he really stands on gun ownership and the Second Amendment.

Most people familiar with his record might be surprised, however, at just how consistently anti-gun (anti-freedom) he really is. Here’s a quick summary that answers the question about his “F” rating:

  • Why did Obama ban 1 million collectors grade Korean War Rifles from being imported and sold to citizens?
  • Why did Obama want to scrap military brass casings rather than sell them to reloading companies as has always been done?
  • Why does Obama support a federal assault weapons ban?
  • Why doesn’t Obama talk tough and make DC submit to the ruling of the supreme court and allow citizens the right to own handguns instead of letting them sidestep the ruling?
  • Why did Obama attempt to use ‘fast and furious’ as an anti gun prop to push for anti gun legislation?
  • Why does Obama support banning magazines over 10 rounds?
  • Why did Obama change our position in the UN and support the UN small arms treaty (gun banning legislation) once he came to office?

Here is some of his record, going back to 1996:

Former Global Warming Supporter Now Shows Data that Refutes It

Record High

Record High (Photo credit: four12)

In his testimony August 1 before the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, climate scientist John Christy revealed the results of his latest work showing “clear evidence…that extreme high temperatures are not increasing in frequency, but actually appear to be decreasing.” Christy does his research at the University of Alabama, monitoring global temperature changes through remote satellite sensing which he developed along with a partner, Roy Spencer. For his efforts, Christy has been awarded NASA’s Medal for Exceptional Scientific Achievement and the American Meteorological Society’s “Special Award.”

In his testimony, Christy presented evidence that current concerns about recent events—heat waves, wild fires, droughts, freak storms, and flooding—do not in fact reflect climate change (global warming) caused by humans, and concerns about human-caused global warming are in fact overblown. What Christy did was analyze the number of

James Holmes, Batman Shooter: It Still Doesn’t Add Up

James Holmes

James Holmes (Photo credit: DonkeyHotey)

The more information comes out about the “Batman shooter,” James Holmes, the more the standard narrative about what happened on midnight on Friday, July 20th, at a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado, is being questioned.

That narrative was outlined by The Wall Street Journal on the day after the shooting:

A gunman wearing a gas mask and sheathed head-to-toe in body armor opened fire in a theater packed for a midnight showing of a just-released Batman movie, killing at least 12 people and wounding 58 others.

Police in this suburb just east of Denver quickly arrested the alleged shooter, James E. Holmes, a 24-year-old graduate student in neuroscience at the University of Colorado Denver with no known criminal history other than a speeding violation.

The rampage began around 12:38 a.m. Friday at the Century Aurora 16 movie theater, which was crowded for the first showing of “The Dark Knight Rises.”

According to the Journal, Holmes had been preparing for the attack for months, buying his SWAT gear and weapons and ammunition online and in local stores as part of his plan. He also was able to procure various dangerous chemicals and high-tech electronic gadgetry along with the requisite training all of which he used to booby-trap his apartment before leaving on his rampage.

According to the popular media narrative, Holmes bought a ticket and sat down front on the first row, on the right, close to an emergency exit door. As the initial credits were rolling, Holmes was observed by two audience members taking a cell phone call and then getting up and using the exit door to go outside, presumably to take the call. In a few minutes he returned, this time all dressed up in SWAT gear from head to toe. As Aurora Chief of Police Dan Oates noted, Mr. Holmes “was dressed all in black. He was wearing a ballistic helmet, a tactical ballistic vest, ballistic leggings, a throat protector and a groin protector and a gas mask, and black tactical gloves.”

Upon re-entering the theater, Holmes threw two canisters of tear gas into the crowd, fired his shotgun into the air, and then began firing his semi-automatic rifle into the crowd. Apparently the audience members initially thought it was part of a stunt related to the movie, but then panic ensued, and people ran for the exits.

Tre Freeman, one of those in the audience, said “After that, it was pure chaos. People were ducking or running. We were on the floor and we couldn’t breathe. We thought we were either going to suffocate or get shot. So we thought the only thing we could do is run.”

It didn’t take long for the official narrative to begin to come unraveled. Two other members of the audience including Corbin Dates, told Aurora news outlets that when Holmes went outside to “take” his call, he seemed to be signaling somebody. After about ten minutes, “someone,” perhaps Holmes, appeared in full SWAT gear and started shooting. Another witness said that there were two tear gas canisters thrown, one by the shooter and one by another person from the other side of the theater.

When Holmes was found near (some reports indicate he was inside) his vehicle by police, he

Aurora Shooting: Questions Still Remain

Tad Cronn says, “There are conspiracy theories, and there are conspiracy theories,” concerning the Aurora shooting that took place in Aurora, Colorado, last Friday night. “But some conspiracy theories have just enough meat on them to make you go ‘hmm.’”

Writing at Godfather Politics, Cronn reviewed the key questions still being raised about James Holmes’ rampage, including the “exquisite” timing of the incident. It could have something to do with the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty that is being debated in New York this week. Cronn is impressed with the coincidence of the Aurora attack and suggests similarities to the Fast and Furious operation that put U.S. weapons into the hands of Central American drug cartels. Says Cronn,

There is powerful evidence to suggest that the real plan [for Fast and Furious] was to have drug runners wreak havoc here at home with our guns, as they have, and [then] use that “discovery” as leverage for further gun controls.

The same theory applies to using Aurora as leverage to pass the U.N. treaty.

Cronn also raised a number of other issues without answers, including Holmes’ demeanor following the incident when he gave up to the police without a struggle and then warned them that he had booby-trapped his apartment. Holmes was a penurious student, without the obvious means to

UN Arms Trade Treaty a Frontal Attack on Second Amendment

Brian Darling: UN Arms Trade Treaty Potential Assault on 2nd Amendment

How bad is it? Here’s one clue: Iran was selected to provide one of the 14 vice presidents for the ATT conference. That’s right: a treaty that’s supposed to be about stopping terrorism and preventing human rights abuses, and the U.N. decides to give the ceremonial spotlight to Iran, a nation that supplies arms to Hamas, Hezbollah, and the murderous Syrian government.

Council on Foreign Relations

Council on Foreign Relations (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

This certainly is one way to determine whether the UN Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) is good for the US: who’s backing it.

Another way is to consider whether the Second Amendment is a barrier to the establishment of a New World Order, where the UN has all the guns and the citizens of the world have none. This is the world of Obama, who has been pushing for more gun control all of his political life:

John Lott wrote for Fox News that we know a lot about the Treaty just by virtue of the nations negotiating its details. Many of the countries included in the negotiations ban handguns and do not recognize the inherent right of personal self-defense. And, as Lott notes, “The Obama administration is undoubtedly the most hostile administration to gun ownership in U.S. history, with Obama having personally supported registration of handguns and semi-automatic weapons before becoming president.” All of this should raise red flags for constitutional conservatives. (my emphasis)

Let’s remember the purpose behind the United Nations. When the League of Nations failed in the ‘20s, the Council on Foreign Relations was created to push for a world government. The Second World War provided, among other things, a convenient excuse to reinstate the League of Nations under its new name, but with the same purpose. Along with the creation of the International Monetary Fund and the Bank for International Settlements and the World Court, the UN was another tool to be used to enslave the world. It has been staffed with totalitarians and criminals ever since, and funded largely by the US government. That should tell us a lot.

The shooting in Aurora may just be a “coincidence” but I have little doubt that that horrendous incident will be used to justify the odious treaty that threatens to complete the loop, and disarm (and then enslave) the American people.

Government Could Have Done Worse than Aurora Massacre

A Forbes article says there’s a real threat of U.S. ratification of the UN arms treaty under now-increased pressure to “do something” after the Aurora massacre.

This presents a formidable threat, especially if we consider the lesson taught in R. J. Rummel‘s revealing work, Death by Government: Far worse than any carnage inflicted by a lone shooter is done when the government itself has unlimited power over its people.

As to whether James Holmes is indeed a “lone shooter,” an analysis of the Aurora, Colorado, gunman in the so-called “Batman Massacre,” prepared by Mike Adams of naturalnews.com concludes that Holmes might have had some help.

According to Adams, the behavior of Holmes “just doesn’t add up.” Writes Adams:

James Holmes: Front Man for CIA False Flag Op?

Mike Adams: Colorado Batman shooting shows obvious signs of being staged

More and more, this shooting is looking like a deliberate plot staged by the government itself much like Operation Fast and Furious pulled off by the ATF which helped smuggle tens of thousands of guns into Mexico for the purpose of causing “gun violence” in the USA, then blaming the Second Amendment for it.

James Holmes

James Holmes (Photo credit: seatonsnet)

One of my first thoughts, expressed in my initial posting here on Friday morning, was the possibility of a link between the Aurora shooting and the UN treaty in New York. I wrote it, but I was skeptical, thinking it was a bit of a reach.

I don’t think so now, after reading Mike Adams’ article which explores in detail the possibility of the shooting being a false flag event.

He notes:

His behavior doesn’t add up

His behavior already reveals stark inconsistencies that question the mainstream explanation of events. For example, he opened fire on innocent people but then calmly surrendered to police without resistance. This is not consistent with the idea of “killing everyone.”

Furthermore, he then admitted to police that his apartment was booby-trapped with explosives. If you were really an evil-minded Joker trying to kill people (including cops), why would you warn them about the booby trap in advance? It doesn’t add up.

“Holmes was taken into custody shortly after the shooting, police said, adding he didn’t resist when he was arrested,” reports a local CBS news affiliate.

“After his arrest, Holmes told police about ‘possible explosives in his residence,’ Oates said. When police searched his apartment, they discovered it was booby-trapped and evacuated surrounding buildings, police said. Oates said bomb technicians are determining how to disarm flammable or explosive material in the third-floor apartment. He said police could be there some time.”

None of this checks out. If you’re a killer bent on causing mayhem, why tell the police about your surprise bomb waiting for them back at your apartment?

Adams thinks it’s the FBI. I think the CIA is the more likely culprit:

This is not your run-of-the-mill crime of passion. It was a carefully planned, heavily funded and technically advanced attack. Who might be behind all this? The FBI, of course, which has a long history of setting up and staging similar attacks, then stopping them right before they happen. See four documented stories on these facts:

http://www.naturalnews.com/035849_domestic_terror_plots_FBI.html
http://www.naturalnews.com/034325_FBI_entrapment_terror_plots.html
http://www.naturalnews.com/033751_FBI_terrorism.html
http://www.naturalnews.com/035757_FBI_terror_plots_false_flag.htm

The one party not mentioned by Adams is the BATFE, which is run by an avid anti-gunner appointed by Obama. But that doesn’t matter. The real emphasis is on generating sufficient anti-gun fervor to force the UN Arms Control Act into and get it passed by the Senate.

Even Forbes.com wrote about this quite extensively, warning readers about the coming gun confiscation effort related to the UN treaty. The story was authored by Larry Bell and says the UN treaty could “override our national sovereignty, and in the process, provide license for the federal government to assert preemptive powers over state regulatory powers guaranteed by the Tenth Amendment in addition to our Second Amendment rights.”

In other words, this has all the signs of Fast & Furious, Episode II. I wouldn’t be surprised to discover someone in Washington was behind it all. After all, there’s no quicker way to disarm a nation and take total control over the population than to stage violence, blame it on firearms, then call for leaders to “do something!” Such calls inevitably end up resulting in gun confiscation, and it’s never too long after that before government genocide really kicks in like we saw with Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao and other tyrants.

Here’s the big difference. More than 100 million Americans already own guns. Those poor souls under Stalin, et al, were unarmed.

Stay tuned to see if this false flag conjecture gets legs.

Aurora Shootings: More Questions Than Answers

With 12 dead and at least 38 wounded, some seriously, the shootings in Aurora, Colorado, 10 miles west of Denver, have so far raised more questions than answers.

On July 20 at 12:30 a.m., James Egan Holmes, age 24, set off some kind of explosive smoke bomb, presumed to be a tear gas bomb, inside the Century Aurora 19 movie theater that was showing the new Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises, and then began systematically shooting customers as they fled from the theater.

Local police cordoned off the area as injured patrons were taken to local hospitals. More than 100 FBI agents swarmed the area. Holmes was found hiding behind a vehicle in the parking lot and was taken into custody without incident.

As might be expected, President Obama and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney expressed their shock and surprise, and each indicated that they were praying for the victims and their families.

There appeared to be few parallels to the

Theater Shooting: Where Were the Armed Citizens?

The Washington Times: Police: 14 dead in Colorado theater shooting

AURORA, Colo. — A gunman opened fire early Friday at a suburban Denver movie theater, leaving 14 people dead and at least 50 others injured, Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates said.

Photo by: Karl Gehring (Associated Press/The Denver Post)

There are precious few details in this story although they will likely come to light later on today. For now, we know that the attacker acted alone. He acted deliberately. He knew that there would be big crowds in the theater at 12:30 in the morning. He knew most of them would be young. He had a rifle and at least one handgun. And he had lots of ammunition.

He also had the time to shoot and kill or injure more than 50 people.

Aside for the horror and anger and frustration that I immediately felt, I had a couple of other reactions. One, the press is going to have a field day with this. Watch and see. Second, they will play their “anti-gun” tunes until we’re deaf. Thirdly, expect the Brady gun control freaks to jump on this. Fourth, there’s a chance Obama might get involved, saying something like “Yup, we need that treaty from the UN to be signed into law, to keep this from happening again.” Maybe that’s a stretch. But the O-man wants our guns, that’s certain.

What I want to know is: how did this criminal have the time to shoot 50 people? It takes time to commit a crime of this dimension. Especially when the first few went down and others started screaming and heading for the exits. He had to have time to shoot, reload, shoot, and reload again.

Where were the security guards? Nothing said about that. How long did it take for police to arrive? Nothing said about that.

But also: where were those responsible citizens who have their concealed handgun permits? Where there none in the theater? None nearby?

One of the strongest cases for the Second Amendment is that when responsible people carry, crime goes down. The statistical evidence on that is overwhelming and goes back many years.

And so: where were they? Did the theater prohibit gun owners from exercising their rights by posting those little “no guns allowed” signs around? Nothing was said about that. If so, those little “no guns allowed” signs make it safe for a shooter to shoot and kill or injure 50 people because he knew there would be no resistance, no one returning fire. Those little “no guns allowed” signs make a theater, or anyplace else posting such signs, a gun-free zone, just what a criminal likes to see.

Good questions. I hope we find some good answers after the dust has settled and the anti-gun propagandists have had their say.

Obama Could Bypass the Senate to Ratify the UN Arms Trade Treaty

Indoor Shooting Range at Sarasota, Florida, US...

A week ago both Mississippi Republican senators, Thad Cochran and Roger Wicker, announced their support of S.B. 2205—the Second Amendment Sovereignty Act of 2012—that would allegedly protect American citizens from any abrogation of their Second Amendment rights if the UN Arms Trade Treaty was signed by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in July. That makes a total of 17 senators who are supporting the bill.

The bill, identical to one offered in the House, would “prohibit funding to negotiate a United Nations Arms Trade Treaty that restricts the Second Amendment rights of United States citizens.” The bill notes the threat being imposed by the Obama Department of State and its secretary, Hillary Clinton:

Congress makes the following findings:

  1. In October 2009, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton announced the United States support and participation in negotiating the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty, to be finalized in 2012, signaling a shift in United States policy.
  2. An Arms Trade Treaty that regulates the domestic manufacture, possession, or purchase of civilian firearms and ammunition would infringe on the rights of United States citizens protected under the second amendment to the Constitution of the United States.

It is the sense of Congress that the sovereignty of the United States and the constitutionally protected freedoms of American gun owners must be upheld and not be undermined by the Arms Trade Treaty.

No funds may be obligated or expended to use the voice, vote, and influence of the United States, in connection with negotiations for a United Nations Arms Trade Treaty, to restrict in any way the rights of United States citizens under the second amendment to the Constitution of the United States, or to otherwise regulate domestic manufacture, assembly, possession, use, transfer, or purchase of firearms, ammunition, or related items, including small arms, light weapons, or related materials.

Senator Cochran said, “This legislation sends the Obama administration a very clear signal that

European Fiscal Pact: Closing the Ring

Graphic "When Greece falls" presente...

Monday’s meeting of the European Union in Brussels resulted in agreement of 25 of the 27 member states to inflict upon themselves and their hapless and increasingly powerless citizenry the tools of international fiscal dictatorship.

The purpose of the “fiscal pact” is to enforce “budgetary discipline” so that the present euro crisis can be contained and future such crises averted. In the short run that means granting the European Central Bank (ECB) additional power to expand its reserves so that bailouts to failing countries can continue, subject to enforcement rules. In the longer run, the pact puts in place the primary tool of coercion, the European Stability Mechanism, to be effective in July.

European Council President Herman Van Rompuy said that initially the ESM will be limited to just €500 billion ($650 billion) but that the ultimate number “will be reassessed down the line.”

Critics say that’s the entire purpose of the ESM: to set up the mechanism of control under the guise of providing bailout funds to members in need while installing ruling class elites (bankers with ties to Goldman Sachs) out of reach of the taxpayer class. Angela Merkel, German Chancellor and mouthpiece for the ESM, was clear: “It is an important step forward to a stability union. For those looking at the union and the euro from the outside, it is very important to show this commitment.”

She failed to mention that Great Britain and the Czech Republic have both

The Coming of the Universal Financial Transaction Tax

Jean Leonetti

In the clearest indication yet, a high French government official confirmed last week that an FTT—Financial Transaction Tax—will be implemented by the European Union by the end of 2012, a year earlier than planned. Jean Leonetti, France’s minister for European affairs, said on television that “This is on the program for the next European summit [on January 30th]. Nicolas Sarkozy and Angela Merkel have decided on this and it will be put in place before the end of 2012.”

The tax would be levied, initially at least, on every financial transaction taking place by any entity with a connection to the Eurozone, and would be levied at the rate of 0.1 percent on shares of stock and bonds, and 0.01 percent on all derivatives transactions. It is estimated that the FTT would cover about 85 percent of all transactions between financial institutions such as banks, investment firms, insurance companies, pension funds and hedge funds. It is expected to raise, in the beginning, about $70 billion annually to help fund the EU.

It’s being touted as punishment for the banks that were allegedly instrumental in causing the economic meltdown, but would have no impact on ordinary citizens or small businesses. According to the European Commission, the FTT “would help to reduce competitive distortions in the single market, discourage risky trading activities [such as high frequency trading and highly leveraged derivatives contracts] and complement regulatory measures aimed at avoiding future crises.”

Because of Great Britain’s Prime Minister David Cameron’s resistance and because under the current treaty such imposition requires a

Blowing Up the Euro

George Soros, billionaire

In her article on Monday, financial journalist Jessica Mortimer said that the euro had just set a new record low against the Japanese yen: Its value is now the lowest it’s been in 10 years. The irony wasn’t lost on her as she also noted that it was just 10 years ago that the euro was first denominated in coins and currency, three years after being introduced electronically among the member states.

And she sees further weakness in the euro, now trading below $1.30 versus the dollar, and likely to move ever lower into the New Year: “In the absence of a comprehensive European policy response to the debt crisis, the euro could test its 2010 low of $1.18.” This would imply at least another nine-percent loss in value in less than a year.

She touched on only one of the few remaining options open to keep the euro from blowing up altogether: more austerity on the backs of the citizens of the member states who took excessive advantage of lower-than-market interest rates to load up on debt that they can’t pay back. She noted the survey that came out over the weekend indicating that a key European manufacturing index remains persistently below recovery levels, with further declines into a full-blown recession in Europe likely. Additional austerity measures would simply hasten that recession. Kathleen Brooks, director of research at FOREX.com, told her clients: “We remain a sell on rallies (with the euro) as we tend to think the eurozone crisis will actually get worse before it gets better.”

That’s one option: Increase the pressure on the taxpayers to

Obama’s Anti-Gun Agenda Remains Alive and Well

Barack Obama

Barack Obama (Photo credit: jamesomalley)

On March 30 of last year, President Obama dropped in to greet Sarah Brady, who was meeting with White House Press Secretary Jay Carney. Sarah is the wife of Jim Brady, the former White House Press Secretary under Reagan, who was shot but not killed in an assassination attempt on President Reagan in 1981. The Bradys subsequently became strong supporters of gun control. According to Brady, the President brought up the issue of gun control “to fill us in that it was very much on his agenda. [The President said,] ‘I just want you to know that we are working on [additional limits on gun ownership]. We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar.'”

Thanks to the efforts of freedom advocates such as John Lott, Obama’s efforts to stay under the radar are now glistening in the sunlight. Lott reviewed an unsettling and lengthy list of Obama’s “processes,” starting with the President’s intention to ignore at least 20 parts of the 2012 omnibus spending bill that he signed into law last week. Using the controversial and likely unconstitutional “signing statements,” Obama said, “I have advised Congress that I will not construe these provisions as preventing me from fulfilling my constitutional responsibility…such measures as I shall judge necessary and expedient.” Buried in the 1,200-page bill was a restriction that bars health officials from using taxpayer funds to lobby for gun control. To rub it in, Obama iterated his position: “Our spending decisions shall not be treated as dependent on the approval of congressional committees.” In plain English, the President just told Congress to go jump—he was going to do what he wanted to do, regardless.

Lott noted that Obama’s Interior Department just issued new administrative rules that threatened the use of public lands for recreational shooting. The language of the new regulations reads in part:

European Union Agreement: Too Little, Too Late

English: The City of London skyline as viewed ...

As reported by Annika Breidthardt for RealClearMarkets.com, the latest European crisis summit that ended last weekend resulted in “a historic agreement to draft a new treaty” which she then characterized as “too little, too late.” Reaction of the equity and currency markets agreed, with substantial losses in American and European stock markets opening the week, and the euro dropping to lows not seen since last February.

The agreement will require EU member states to ante-up $267 billion to the International Monetary Fund which will then turn around and re-lend it to those member states in financial trouble. Exactly how those needing the funds will “ante-up” was left unexplained. The existing bailout fund—the European Financial Stability Fund, or EFSF—will be leveraged, debt upon debt, to give it more ability to lend to those same struggling countries.

But the big news is the moving forward of the date for ratification of the ESM—the European Stability Mechanism—by a full year, to June of 2012. This is the elephant in the living room that few in the media have spent much time reviewing, although a careful analysis is available here. The reason for moving ahead with such a grotesque totalitarian program is obvious: there may not be enough time left to implement it. Investors continue to demand

“Merkozy” Letter to EU: Strip Sovereignty Now

Deutsch: 45. Münchner Sicherheitskonferenz 200...

In his candid appraisal of the letter from Germany’s Angela Merkel and France’s Nicolas Sarkozy to the European Union meeting that starts Friday in Brussels, Dan Murphy makes clear that this summit will be different from the previous 20: This one is determined to override national sovereignty to save the euro. The core of the letter is the offer of the fatal alternative to the euro zone nations: Either give up essential sovereign control over your budgets to the EU, or destroy the euro.

The “Merkozy” letter said,

The current crisis has uncovered the deficiencies in the construction of the [European Monetary Union] mercilessly. We need to remedy those deficiencies…. We need more binding and more ambitious rules and commitments for the Euro area Member States. They should reflect that sharing a single currency means sharing responsibility for the Euro area as a whole. The building blocks of the new Stability and Growth Union are: A strengthened institutional architecture. Euro area governance needs to be substantially reinforced.

The problem, until now, has been the virtual impossibility of amending unanimously the various treaties under which the EU currently operates. With the clock ticking amid increasingly nervous financial markets, there is no time for that nicety. And so a way has been found: doing an end run around the process by using a little-known clause in the Schengen treaty to

Ministers Meet as Eurozone Time Bomb Ticks Down

English: Various Euro bills.

As the finance ministers from each of the 17 members of the eurozone meet in Brussels yesterday, the main topic was “integration.” It’s a race against the clock.

One of the first items being discussed is putting in place the leveraging of the stability fund—otherwise known as the EFSF, or European Financial Stability Fund. At present, this fund holds some $600 billion in assets, much of which has already been invested in government bonds issued by the eurozone’s weak sisters: Ireland, Greece, and Spain. The leveraging, through some opaque maneuvering, will then allow the fund to do some serious purchasing of enough of Italy’s debt to solve two problems at the same time. One is to bring down interest rates to some level that Italy may be able, in the short run, to afford to pay. And the other is to give

Germany’s Finances Weak and Getting Weaker

Angela Merkel painted portrait _DDC8551

The “disastrous” failure of the German bond auction on Wednesday when buyers failed to bid the offering and Germany’s Central Bank—the Bundesbank—had to step in and purchase nearly 40 percent of the offering came just a day after SpiegelOnline posted an article critical of the country’s finances. The article virtually accused Chancellor Angela Merkel and her Finance Minister, Wolfgang Schauble, of “cheerleading” the economy’s supposed strength while ignoring major weaknesses. Merkel says her country has “a clear compass for reducing debt [and that] getting our finances in order is good for our country.” Schauble was an echo: Germany is a “safe haven [because] the entire world has great confidence in both the performance and soundness of the fiscal policies of the Federal Republic of Germany.”

Cracks in Germany’s economy were noted by Professor Wilhelm Hankel of Frankfurt University back in November of 2010: “Germany cannot keep paying for bail-outs without going bankrupt itself. This is frightening people.” He added,

You cannot find a bank safe deposit box in Germany because every single one has already been taken and stuffed with gold and silver. It is like an underground Switzerland within our borders. People have terrible memories of 1948 and 1923 when they lost their savings.

Additional cracks in Germany’s economy were revealed in August this year in the Washington Post, which noted that

Germany’s Merkel Yields More Sovereignty to the EU

EPP Summit Helsinki 4 March 2011

At a joint briefing on Wednesday with Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny, German Chancellor Angela Merkel announced the next step towards the creation of the supra-national European state: “Germany sees the need…to show the markets and the world public that the euro will remain together, that the euro must be defended, but also that we are prepared to give up a little bit of national sovereignty…” It must be done, she said, so that the euro is “strong and inspires confidence on international markets.”

This could be done through changes in the Lisbon Treaty that comprises the basis for the European Union, or more likely through the signing into law the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) by December 31, 2012. Merkel explained that, either way, this would allow for “an intervention and oversight role in respect of the preparation of national budgets…” among the member states.

This would represent the culmination of more than 60 years of efforts by the Bilderberg Group with the help of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), David Rockefeller, and funding of the effort by the Ford and Rockefeller foundations. Joseph Retinger, one of the founders of the Bilderberg Group in 1954, was also one of the principal architects of the European Common Market. As early as 1946, in a speech to the Royal Institute of International Affairs (RIIA), the British counterpart of the CFR, Retinger said that Europe needed to create a federal union and that it would be necessary for the European countries to “relinquish part of their national sovereignty” to secure it. As noted by Andrew Gavin Marshall, research associate for the Centre for Research on Globalization, the effort to create the dictatorship of Europe goes back many years and is the creation of many hands:
