Have nothing to do with the [evil] things that people do, things that belong to the darkness. Instead, bring them out to the light... [For] when all things are brought out into the light, then their true nature is clearly revealed...

Why Andrew McCabe Was Fired

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Saturday, March 17, 2018:

The seal of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions formally fired former Deputy Director of the Federal FBI Andrew McCabe late on Friday, using formal language that explained the reasoning why: McCabe “had made an unauthorized disclosure to the news media and lacked candor — including under oath — on multiple occasions.”

Witnesses under oath swear “to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.” Obviously, lacking candor does not meet this standard. Session did not call McCabe a “liar” or “perjurer” in his statement, but the implication was there.

Here is Sessions’ statement:

Venezuela Descends into Barbarity and Depravity

This article was published by The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Friday, December 22, 2017:

Former Harvard University professor George Santayana said, “Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” What’s frustrating isn’t that those lessons are obscure; it’s that those promoting provable falsehoods from history are allowed such public acceptance and credibility. It reminds one of the cigarette sellers’ slogan: “Winston tastes good like a cigarette should.” Never mind that smoking will kill you.

That’s why this writer holds in such contempt liars like

New York Times Shrinks Print Staff; 100 Taking Severance Offers

On Thursday more than 100 staffers at the New York Times, including copy editors and reporters, took their only option: severance packages offered as the paper continues to shrink its print staff.

Though they were warned well in advance, many of those whose jobs were in jeopardy decided to wait until the bitter end, hoping to snag one of the few new job openings at the Times’ digital operations. For many, those final job interviews turned out instead to be offers to take the severance package, as their job skills no longer fit the new paradigm at The Gray Lady.

Red ink has been flowing for years as the Times struggled with a shrinking print audience and a technology that wasn’t keeping up with audiences switching to online media for their information. In January the Times published an internal report, “Journalism That Stands Apart,” crafted by seven of the newspaper’s journalists. It was blunt in its assessment:

Democrats Used Discredited Dossier Against Trump

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Friday, July 14, 2017:

The ripple effect from the publishing in January by far-left BuzzFeed of the phony, discredited “Trump Dossier” written by anti-Trump British MI6 agent Christopher Steele is still being felt. As a result of a London lawsuit against Steele, the former British spy was forced to admit that his information, which was obtained from various unnamed Kremlin sources, was never verified as accurate. But that hasn’t deterred Democrats determined to harm or destroy the Trump presidency from using it as fodder for their attacks.

Steele, a confirmed socialist, wrote a series of memos about information he said he had gleaned from various “Kremlin insiders,” a “trusted compatriot,” “former top level Russian intelligence officers still active inside the Kremlin,” and two other unnamed sources he referred to as “sources A and B.” But Steele stumbled when, in memo #16, he claimed that members of the Russian spy service FSB were to meet with one of Trump’s people in a conspiracy to defame Hillary Clinton. Wrote Steele:

The so-called gun-walking scandal known as Operation Fast and Furious was a secretive, phony, and ultimately failed attempt to attack the Second Amendment. The official story was much different. Richard Serrano, writing in the Los Angeles Times in October 2011 bought the lie and then repeated it:

Tom Hayden’s Passing: New York Times’ Eulogy Versus Reality

When Barbara Williams, Tom Hayden’s third wife, discovered that her husband, Tom Hayden, had died on Sunday, one of the first things she did was to let the New York Times know. He’d had a stroke last year but it didn’t incapacitate him severely enough to keep him from attending the Democratic Party’s national convention as a delegate in July. But it was enough to do him in. He fell ill while at the convention and never recovered.

Apparently she knew that the Times would treat his passing with all the dignity usually accorded one of their own:

CIA Director John Brennan Probably Isn’t a Communist

He’s not a duck, either, but he talks like one and hangs around with other ducks who speak the same language. Relevant is Brennan’s visit to the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation last week, where he told the left-wing crowd that if he could get into the CIA with his record, so could they.

The Foundation has close ties to the Congressional Black Caucus, which has more than 40 members with backgrounds so criminal and extreme that each of them rates a special page at DiscoverTheNetworks.org. Among them are names that are no doubt familiar to students of the left, including

Hillary Clinton presidential campaign, 2008

Last Friday, Mish Shedlock, author of the MishTalk blog, riffed on an “exclusive” report published by the Observer. That report claimed that Hillary Clinton’s campaign was repeatedly charging one-time donors’ credit cards without their permission. This was allegedly being done not only to raise additional funds, but to improve her campaign’s reporting to the Federal Election Committee that a lot of her support was coming from small donors.

Shedlock read the report, published it in its entirety on his blog, and then added this disclaimer:

I cannot prove any of this. Nor can anyone else unless they have a recording of the call. But there is a moral to this story, two actually:

Trump Advisor Publishes Story About Clinton Campaign Repeatedly Charging One-time Donors

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Wednesday, September 21, 2016:

Back in March Carol Mahre, an 81-year-old grandmother and lifelong Democrat, decided to contribute $25 to the Hillary for America campaign. She gave a staff member her account information and on March 16 $25 was deducted from her US Bank checking account.

Later that day another $25 was deducted from her account. On March 29 $19 was deducted from her account, payable to the Hillary for America campaign.

She tried unsuccessfully to get the campaign to reverse the charges and asked her son Roger, a local attorney in Maplewood, Minnesota, for help. He picked up where she left off,

What’s Really Behind Chicago’s Awful Shooting Spree?

This article was published by The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Wednesday, September 14, 2016:

FRSO Logo from frso.org.

The numbers truly are awful: for the year through September 8, nearly 3,000 Chicagoans have been shot – an average of one shooting victim every two hours. Of those, 516 have died of their wounds. That’s up nearly 50 percent over the same period a year ago, which was also up from the year before.

Just this past weekend eight people were shot to death, with another 33 wounded in Chicago. The reports came in so fast that Chicago’s CBS affiliate couldn’t keep up. It reported that the last shooting took place at 2:15am on Monday morning, but then had to modify the article before going online with it when another shooting took place at 4:30am.

Unbelievably, one of the shootings took place during

Saul Alinsky

Wikipedia softly proclaims Saul Alinsky as the “founder of modern community organizing,” who used his “organizing skills” to “improve the living conditions of poor communities.” Alinsky, however, was more than that. Much more. A closer look (see sources below) reveals a Marxist whose goal was to enable fellow travelers in their attempts to destroy capitalism in the United States and replace it with communism. From his Rules for Radicals, Alinsky states:

How Hillary Plans to Defeat Donald, and Vice Versa

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Wednesday, March 2, 2016:

Polls taken before and during Super Tuesday show Hillary Clinton maintaining a slight edge over front-running Republican Donald Trump among likely voters in November, but well within the margin of error. Real Clear Politics gives Clinton a “spread” of between 3 and 8 points, down considerably from when Trump first announced his candidacy last summer. Rasmussen Reports shows a slightly wider gap, 41 percent for Clinton versus 36 percent for Trump, but warns that one in every four voters quizzed on Monday and Tuesday still hadn’t made up their minds.

For Ed Rollins, Ronald Reagan’s campaign manager during his reelection efforts in 1984, it’s over: Trump will take the GOP nomination:

Articles of Impeachment Issued Against IRS Commissioner

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Wednesday, October 28, 2015:

In its attempt to get to the bottom of the Tea Party targeting scandal, the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee introduced articles of impeachment on Tuesday against IRS Commissioner John Koskinen for lying, stalling, and deceiving Congress.

Koskinen was sold to the Senate as the one to break open and expose the scandal, promising to restore the IRS’s heavily damaged credibility. The Senate confirmed him as head of the IRS in December 2013, 59-36, and he took over as acting director in May 2013.

Almost from the beginning Koskinen has been, to put it charitably,

The Consequences of Sleeping with the Enemy

When Roger Ebert reviewed the film Sleeping with the Enemy upon its release in 1991, he called it “a slasher movie in disguise, an up-market version of the old exploitation formula where the victim can run, but she can’t hide.”

When the Chinese government invited top executives from 15 Silicon Valley companies to attend its annual Seattle conference, those executives most likely didn’t consider themselves victims, but honored guests. They would shortly learn their error:

HSBC Downsizing to Core Business: Money Laundering, Terror Funding

This article first appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Wednesday, June 10, 2015:

Officially, London’s Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC), the world’s third-largest banking firm, is cutting costs to improve profits. The intended moves are for the benefit of the shareholders, asserted Stuart Gulliver, the bank’s chief executive on Tuesday: “We recognize that the world has changed and we need to change with it. I am confident that our actions will allow us to capture expected future growth opportunities and deliver further value to our shareholders.”

Unofficially, HSBC is going to ply its underground wares and provide its vast money-laundering services where its customers are mostly likely to reside in the years ahead:

Putin’s Denials are Wearing Thin

This article first appeared at The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Monday, March 2, 2015:

Russian President Vladimir Putin, former head of the KGB in the old Soviet Union, needs a new script writer. His denials and disclaimers about not having anything to do with the mounting number of murders of his opposition are becoming monotonous.

Following the murder of Boris Nemtsov Friday night, Putin not only disclaimed any knowledge of the matter but was sure that it was a ploy instigated by supporters of Nemtsov to make Putin look bad. One of Putin’s script writers, Dmitry Peskov, tried to cover for his boss:

New York City Mayor de Blasio Offends Police Again

Mayor Bill de Blasio is developing a reputation as a highly skilled expert in self-immolation. Right after having police officers turn their back on him at the Brooklyn hospital where the bodies of the two officers assassinated on Saturday, December 20 were taken, he reappointed a leftist judge who freed a thug who threatened the police just days after their murders.

Just two days after the murder of the officers, Devon Coley, an 18-year-old-thug already boasting a long criminal record, posted a threat on Facebook along with a picture of himself (or someone like him) shooting into a police cruiser along with words to indicate

N.Y. Times Sides With de Blasio Over Police. What’s the Truth?

This article first appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Thursday, January 1, 2015:

On Tuesday the editorial board of the New York Times accused the New York City Police Department of taking its anger toward Mayor Bill de Blasio to the dangerous level of “essentially abandoning enforcement of low-level offenses.” But in the same opinion piece, the Times failed to note the irony that it was the enforcement of a low-level offense — selling untaxed cigarettes  — that resulted in the now-famous police contact with Eric Garner that went viral on YouTube.

For the week starting on December 22, two days after two NYPD police officers were murdered in cold blood while sitting in their police cruiser, “traffic citations had fallen by

Obama Way Over His Head at the APEC Summit

Xi Jinping. China’s “Paramount Leader”

Nowhere was President Obama’s shrinking influence in world affairs more apparent than when he opened the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Beijing earlier this week by announcing an “agreement” with China’s “paramount leader,” Xi Jinping, to extend visas in both countries from one year to ten. The enhancements will have little real world impact but they served to give Obama the appearance of being a player.

A U.S. visa only serves as preliminary permission to seek admission to the United States. Final admission remains, as it always has, in the hands of a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer who, after questioning and investigation of the nonimmigrant’s purposes, will then issue a Form I-94. That form serves as the official government document authorizing the alien’s stay in the country.

Nevertheless, Obama made the most of it:
