Have nothing to do with the [evil] things that people do, things that belong to the darkness. Instead, bring them out to the light... [For] when all things are brought out into the light, then their true nature is clearly revealed...

As Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke took the stage Monday night at the opening ceremonies of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, the audience expected him to be blunt, precise, and declarative, and he was: “Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to make something very clear. Blue lives matter in America!”

Partisans in the Quicken Loans Arena (left) erupted with sustained applause. They then waited for what came next, and weren’t disappointed:

Was Houston Mosque Fire a False Flag Event?

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Thursday, December 31, 2015:

When Gary Nathaniel Moore was arrested on Wednesday on charges that he set the fire at a Houston Mosque on Christmas Day, the narrative promoted by the national media blew up.

During the investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (known as the ATF), Moore was identified from surveillance videos of the scene of the crime and confirmed after a search warrant revealed evidence in his home of charcoal lighter-fluid bottles that matched one left at the mosque.

In the days before Moore’s arrest, however, the narrative promoted by the mainstream media was that somehow it was a “hate crime” resulting from inflammatory statements made by

Planned Parenthood Shooter’s History Proves Background Checks Don’t Work

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Monday, November 30, 2015:

The mainstream media’s investigators tried their level best to find something about Robert Lewis Dear, the Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood shooter who killed three and wounded nine in a five-hour stand-off that ended late Friday afternoon. Something — anything — that would support the agenda the media insist on promoting: that he was a protester at Planned Parenthood for killing babies and selling their body parts, that he was connected somehow with a right-wing wacko group with an anti-government agenda, or that he was representative of “gun nuts” so hated by the Left.

After hours of investigation, including conversations with neighbors in North and South Carolina, and in Hartsel, Colorado, where Dear lived, they came up with almost exactly

Medical Examiner: Oregon Shooter Committed Suicide

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Monday, October 5, 2015:

On Saturday the Oregon state medical examiner’s office ruled that Chris Harper-Mercer, the shooter who killed nine people and injured more than a dozen others at Roseburg’s Umpqua Community College last Thursday, died by his own hand and not as the result of a shootout with police, as some initially surmised. Despite being heavily armed, the 26-year-old apparently turned one of his weapons on himself rather than engage the police in a firefight.

This announcement has once again raised the question: Why?

Oregon Shooter Sought Christians to Kill

North Roseburg, Oregon

“Oregon Shooting: Umpqua Community College Gunman Talked Religion,” NBC News claims in the headline for a story about Thursday’s shooting in Roseburg, Oregon. Of course the headline is misleading, to say the least. The gunman, 26-year-old Chris Harper-Mercer, didn’t bring a Bible to Umpqua Community College; he brought three handguns and a semi-automatic rifle. He didn’t talk about his religious beliefs; he asked who was Christian and shot in the head those who said they were while shooting others in the legs. Yet, if the only thing we knew about the tragic event was the NBC News headline, we could be forgiven for concluding that the gunman was a religious zealot as opposed to an anti-Christian hater.

As reported by numerous survivors of the murderous rampage,

Revenge Motive Suspected in Houston Police Officer’s Murder

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Monday, August 31, 2015:

Following his investigation of a routine automobile accident Friday night, Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy Darren Goforth (shown) pulled his police cruiser into a Chevron station on the outskirts of Houston, Texas, and began filling it up. Shannon Miles, a black man with a long criminal record, approached Goforth from behind and shot him in the head. Goforth pitched forward onto the pavement and Miles straddled his body, pumping three more bullets into his back.

Goforth died at the scene. Miles was tracked down by authorities and arrested and charged with capital murder early Saturday morning.

Harris County Sheriff Ron Hickman called it an ambush. When asked about a possible motive, Hickman said only that

Confronting the Murderer of my Father, by Rev. Francis Nigel Lee

The Christmas Spirit: Confronting the Murderer of My Father

Francis Nigel Lee – December 25, 2014

By Rev. Francis Nigel Lee (died Dec. 23, 2011)

In April 1994, I was invited to fly around the world and expound the Lord’s Prayer in the USA during September. Having acquired the plane ticket, I was much looking forward to visiting my parents in Barrydale (near Swellendam in South Africa) – on my way from Australia to America.

However, in July 1994 my father (almost 86) was robbed – and left for dead in his home. My mother (having lost her mind and the use of some of her bodily functions) was permanently hospitalised. One week after being assaulted, my father died from those injuries, in hospital and went to be with the Lord.

Upon my arrival in South Africa, I headed for Swellendam (where my mother is still in hospital). There, I was amazed to hear that the police had already apprehended a young man in connection with the death of my father, and that the young man had signed a statement alleging that he alone had attacked my father. I also learned that my father, before dying, had given a description to the police of the young man (which description is altogether in harmony with the appearance of the accused) – and that the latter was being held in jail precisely in Swellendam, while awaiting his preliminary trial just one week after my own arrival there.

I immediately contacted the jail, requesting permission to come and speak to the accused

(of whom it is alleged that he had also killed someone else even before attacking my father). The police warmly supported my request, but informed me that the accused had the right to refuse to see me. He, however – being told who I was – agreed and even requested to meet with me!

On 15th September I went to the jail, where I was told to surrender my camera and tape-recorder and any firearms I may have been carrying. I was escorted to a room where three armed policemen and their officer were doing clerical work. One minute later, the accused was brought through the door into the room – and stood there in front of me.

He was a strongly-built, medium-sized man, answering exactly to the description given by my father to the police. He stood there, just looking down at the ground. I silently prayed to God for guidance as to what to do next. Then I got up from my chair, addressed him politely by his full name, greeted him with a handshake, thanked him sincerely for granting me the interview and requested him to sit down before I again did so.

I then said: “Mr. W ——– , are they treating you well? Are you getting enough to eat here?” He replied: “Yes, thank you.” I said: “Have you peace of mind here?” He replied: “Sir, I am very unhappy. I have been praying to God in my cell for the last three nights, but it’s as if my prayers bounce back off the ceiling and don’t get through.”

I then said: “Mr W., I am the only child of the old man who was left for dead behind the front door of his house in Barrydale on 10th July – whom you are accused of having assaulted. I had been looking forward to spending a week with him in September, but as you can see this is now impossible.” The young man nodded, looked down, and said nothing.

I then continued: “Mr. W., for many years my father was not a Christian. But there came a time in his life when he turned from his sins and submitted to Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. That is why he is now in heaven, and waiting for me to join him.

“I assure you, Mr. W., that if you make your peace with God – whether you die right now of a heart attack, or are put to death for murder, or die naturally later on – you too will go to heaven. I also assure you that my father, whom you are accused of having murdered, will be the first to welcome you there. However Mr. W., if you do not repent and if you die in your sins, I assure you that you will spend eternity in hell-fire and damnation – forever!

“Mr. W., whether you repent and become a Christian, or whether you harden yourself and die in your sins, know for sure that if found guilty by the court – I would want you to receive the maximum penalty. I fully support the death penalty for murder. I will plead no leniency whatsoever for you, even if you become a Christian. But I am offering you everlasting life in heaven after you die, if you will repent and come to Jesus Christ in faith.

“Mr. W., three men died on a little hill called Calvary. Two were guilty robbers, but the One in the middle, the Lord Jesus, was innocent. Robbers, as you know, include those who go around beating up old people and leaving them for dead after stealing from them. Both of those robbers jeered at the innocent Jesus, crucified between them.

“But then one of the robbers repented, turned to the other, and said: ‘We are being condemned justly. For we are receiving the punishment due for our deeds. But this man (Jesus) has done nothing amiss!’ Then the penitent robber said to Jesus: ‘Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!’ So Jesus said to him: ‘Truly, I tell you, today you shall be with Me in paradise!’

“Mr. W., do you not see yourself as one of those two robbers next to Jesus on Calvary? Will you die in your sins and go to hell like the unrepentant robber? Or will you, like the other robber: repent of your sins, receive Jesus as your Lord, and be assured by Him that you will go to heaven when you die?

“Mr. W., if you wish, I will leave this jail right now. But if you prefer, I would be privileged to show you right now how you too can become a Christian. Which is it to be?”

Mr. W. then tried to look me in the eye. He said: “Sir, would you please show me how to become a Christian?” I then realised that the four policemen in the room had all put down their pens, had stopped working, and were straining their ears, listening to us. So I said: “Officer, could you kindly get us a Bible?”

The officer went galloping out of the room, and immediately returned with a Bible – and put it on my lap with great respect. I opened it at John 3:16, and asked Mr. W. whether he could read. When he so indicated, I handed him the Bible, and asked him to read it. Loudly and clearly, he read it out, and then said: “I am too big a sinner!” But I replied: “Mr. W., it says here: ‘whosoever’ – and that includes you too, if and when you put your trust in Jesus.”

The atmosphere was electric. All in that room felt the awesome presence of God the Holy Ghost. The silence was terrifying. Then I said: “Mr. W., will you come to Jesus?” He replied: “I will!”

So, two wicked hell-deserving sinners – myself and my father’s slayer – then went down on our knees in that jail together. I put my arm round his shoulder, and prayed first. I thanked God for our meeting, (re)confessed all my own fresh sins to the Lord, and then asked Him to have mercy on Mr. W., for Christ’s sake.

Mr. W. then prayed. He said: “Lord, I’m a miserable sinner! Please don’t let Satan destroy me! I am sorry for all my sins. Forgive me, for the sake of Jesus Who died for people like me.”

We then got up off our knees. I assured him: “Mr. W., if you really meant that, you are now my brother. In that case, here is my right hand of fellowship. I will help you in any way I can. Here is my address in Australia. If you write to me, I promise to reply to every letter you may write, for the rest of my life. When is your trial?”

He replied: “Thursday 22nd September.” I promised to pray for him on that day (when I would be overseas), that justice would be done and that he would continue to receive God’s grace whatever the outcome. I then again shook his hand and left the jail – to the astonishment of both the grateful police and the bewildered convicts there who just kept on staring at me in amazement.

Driving back to Barrydale, I praised God and sang His Psalms the whole time – realising anew that God is not dead but very much alive on this great planet earth. For God had revived my soul – and, I trust, all of those in that room in the jail.

Four days later, I visited the jail again. This time Mr. W. was waiting for me with a smile. He had been reading the Bible since I last saw him, and claimed to have peace. I urged him to speak to the other prisoners about what had happened to him, to tell the full truth at his trial, and to work and witness for the Lord for the rest of his earthly life (be it short or long).

He then prayed for both of us, thanked God for my visits, and boldly asked the Lord to bless me wherever I went (that same day to England, and thereafter to America).

God heard his prayer. In London, the Lord spoke powerfully – through my relating of the above events. In America, the effect was electrifying, and the tape-recording of my account is spreading like wildfire and producing awesome enquiries and results. I used it there, as an illustration, while preaching on the fifth petition in the Lord’s Prayer (“And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors’.”).

My fellow sinner, how stands it with your soul? Are you certain you are right with God – for time and eternity? For Jesus assures us: “If you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses!”

O that God would melt the heavens and come down, and touch and revive His hard-nosed children here on earth! Do you have the certainty that all your sins have been forgiven, for Christ’s sake? If not, settle this matter forthwith!

Sincerely, in the Lord’s service from a sinner saved by grace.

On Newsmax’s The Steve Malzberg Show on Wednesday, Ferguson, Missouri, Mayor James Knowles expressed his concerns about Al Sharpton’s presence in his town following the shooting death of Michael Brown by a local police officer on Saturday. Knowles told Malzberg, “There’s a lot of concern among a lot of the African-American leaders here. I have the concern that we’ll … become a national spectacle. Sometimes star power is not always a good thing.”

Sharpton showed up in Ferguson on Tuesday and walked arm-in-arm with Brown’s family members, their attorney, and some clergy members. He then gave an incendiary speech at the city’s Old Courthouse predictably pushing his “America’s racism” view:

Almost from the beginning, estimates of the number of people involved in the riots, the damage inflicted on businesses, and testimonies from eyewitnesses of the shooting varied greatly and conflicted with police reports. A minimum of 12 businesses were

California Shooting: the Missing Element

A "welcome" sign at Isla Vista

After a year of planning his revenge on sorority sisters who had ignored him, causing him “pain” and “suffering”, a student living in Isla Vista, California, began his killing spree at 9:30PM Friday night. It ended 10 minutes later when Elliot Rodger, confronted by armed force, took his own life. In the wake were twelve separate crime scenes with 7 people killed and thirteen more, including a bicyclist and a skate boarder, injured, some seriously. Calling it a “chaotic, rapidly unfolding convoluted incident,” Sheriff Bill Brown added:

It’s obviously the work of a madman …

There’s going to be a lot more information that will come out that will give a clearer picture of just how disturbed this individual was…

[It was] premeditated mass murder.

US Army Adds Evangelical Christians to its Extremists List, Thanks to the SPLC

Last month I made light of the fact that my name didn’t appear on the list of extremists published by the Southern Poverty Law Center, but I took comfort that a lot of people whom I know, and some friends, were on the list. This time my task is to expose them for what they really are: a “hate” group whose rants against “extremists” not only include evangelical Christians but attacks on the very foundation of the American republic.

A couple of biographical sketches on the SPLC are helpful in exposing them. From Wiki we find that the SPLC is “noted for its … educational programs that promote tolerance.” From the Legal Dictionary we learn that  the SPLC “tracks hate groups and runs a program to educate Americans about racism, anti-Semitism, and other forms of intolerance.”

From World News Daily we have learned that not only do their “programs” now put evangelical Christians at the top of the list, but that list is now being used by the US Army to indoctrinate its troops. In an Army reserve unit in Pennsylvania an Equal Opportunity training brief entitled “Extremism and Extremist Organizations” included a slide with the title “Religious Extremism.” That slide listed a number of truly evil and dangerous groups including the Muslim Brotherhood, al-Qaida, Hamas and the Nation of Islam. But at the top of the list was “evangelical Christianity.”

When word of this got out (an audience member, himself an evangelical Christian, got angry and demanded a copy of the program), Col. Ron Crews, executive director of the Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty, was outraged:

Men and women of faith who have served the Army faithfully for centuries shouldn’t be likened to those who have regularly threatened the peace and security of the United States. It is dishonorable for any U.S. military entity to allow this type of wrongheaded characterization. It also appears that some military entities are using definitions of “hate” and  “extreme” from the lists of anti-Christian political organizations…

The idea of salvation being exclusively through Christ is a key doctrine of the  Christian faith. It is amazing that the trainer felt they had the authority and right to list evangelical Christian, Catholics and orthodox Jews  alongside groups like the Muslim Brotherhood.

Crews then exposed where the Army got its information:

This is absolutely abhorrent to all those who identify themselves as evangelical  Christians in this country. We know other commands have used the  SPLC list in briefing soldiers about hate crimes and hate groups, but this particular briefing is the most egregious in terms of blatantly identifying evangelical Christianity as the number one extremist group in the United  States.

When the SPLC attacks evangelical Christianity, it attacks the foundations of the republic. Wiki again is helpful here. It notes that “its earliest leaders included John Wesley, George Whitfield and Jonathan Edwards,” amazing men who were instrumental during the Great Awakening of the 1730s and 40s and who laid the foundation for the beliefs held by most of the founders of the republic. The best study I’ve seen that explains the impact of evangelical Christianity on the founders is The Light and the Glory by Peter Marshall (son of Peter Marshall, the Senate Chaplain) and David Manuel.

Rather than celebrating the freedom from oppression that evangelicals accomplished at the founding of the republic, the SPLC shows the depths of its depravity by promoting such as “extremism.” What’s especially outrageous is that useful idiots in the US Army have picked up the lie and promoted it as truth to its troops.

Crews has been assured that the briefing in Pennsylvania was “isolated” and won’t be repeated, but I greet that with great skepticism. The SPLC will continue to spread its lies as it has for years. It’s a poison that continues to drip into the bloodstream of the American republic, rotting away its core values and leading its misinformed citizens back into slavery once again.
