Have nothing to do with the [evil] things that people do, things that belong to the darkness. Instead, bring them out to the light... [For] when all things are brought out into the light, then their true nature is clearly revealed...

Air Force Academy Releases Report on Hate Crime Hoax: Media Goes AWOL

This article was written by Bill Jasper, Senior Editor of The New American, and published on Friday, March 2, 2018:

An investigative report by the U.S. Air Force Academy has finally leaked out. Remember the media storm that went on for days and days last September when racial slurs were found outside the dorm room of five black cadets at the Air Force Academy? The headline for Raw Story was typical of the “mainstream” media reaction: “‘Get out!’: Lt General rains hell on Air Force Academy after racist messages were left on black cadets’ rooms.” A video of Lieutenant General Jay Silveria, superintendent of the Academy, “raining hell” on the 4,000 cadets went viral, making Silveria the new media darling, supposedly representing a voice of courageous tolerance in the new era of Trumpian intolerance. The problem was, Silveria, like his media cheerleaders, had jumped the gun. Rather than properly waiting for the completion of the official investigation, he rushed into an orgy of virtue signaling that maligned the innocent cadets and the entire Academy with the false and ugly taint of racism.

As we reported here on November 11,

Greenies, Lefties Protest Dakota Access Pipeline With Violence

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Tuesday, November 22, 2016:

The standoff between law-enforcement officials and environmentalists determined to stall completion of the Dakota Access crude oil pipeline (shown) turned violent late Sunday night. About 400 protesters set two trucks on fire near Cannon Ball, South Dakota (which sits on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation), and when sheriff’s deputies moved in to quell the accelerating riot they were met with a rain of rocks and flaming logs. At least one officer was struck on the head.

All the mainstream media could do was point out that law enforcement used high-pressure water from fire trucks to push back the crowd, along with firing rubber bullets and tear gas grenades. Little was said in the MSM that the crowd had been given multiple orders to disperse as they were trespassing on private land and causing damage.

According to Rob Keller, a spokesman for the sheriff’s department, “Protesters were given multiple orders to back up. But these agitators were a little more aggressive and did not back down, and that’s why there was [this] force used.” Keller added:

Tom Hayden’s Passing: New York Times’ Eulogy Versus Reality

When Barbara Williams, Tom Hayden’s third wife, discovered that her husband, Tom Hayden, had died on Sunday, one of the first things she did was to let the New York Times know. He’d had a stroke last year but it didn’t incapacitate him severely enough to keep him from attending the Democratic Party’s national convention as a delegate in July. But it was enough to do him in. He fell ill while at the convention and never recovered.

Apparently she knew that the Times would treat his passing with all the dignity usually accorded one of their own:

Where Is Media Coverage of George Soros Meddling in U.S. Internal Affairs?

George Soros

When the hacktivist group calling themselves DCLeaks released “restricted” documents it obtained from the Internet servers of the Open Society Foundation of George Soros, none of the major so-called watchdog media mentioned it. And yet, those documents revealed more than 50 regional and global initiatives and well-funded programs designed to influence major policy decisions around the world, as well as in the United States.

Planned Parenthood Shooter’s History Proves Background Checks Don’t Work

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Monday, November 30, 2015:

The mainstream media’s investigators tried their level best to find something about Robert Lewis Dear, the Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood shooter who killed three and wounded nine in a five-hour stand-off that ended late Friday afternoon. Something — anything — that would support the agenda the media insist on promoting: that he was a protester at Planned Parenthood for killing babies and selling their body parts, that he was connected somehow with a right-wing wacko group with an anti-government agenda, or that he was representative of “gun nuts” so hated by the Left.

After hours of investigation, including conversations with neighbors in North and South Carolina, and in Hartsel, Colorado, where Dear lived, they came up with almost exactly

Irony and Hypocrisy on Full Public Display Following Massacre at Planned Parenthood in Colorado Springs Last Week

This article was published by The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Friday, November 27, 2015:

Colorado Springs, Colorado – As a writer having lived in Colorado Springs nearly all my adult life, I found the reaction of the president and various members of the fourth estate to the shooting not far from where I live to be especially galling, bordering on unforgivable.

Your Dictionary is helpful in refreshing understandings of “irony” and “hypocrisy.” The definition of irony is the use of words where the meaning is

A Primer on the Kalashnikov AK-47 that killed or wounded 500 in Paris

This article was published by The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Monday, November 16, 2015:

More than 100 million Kalashnikov AK-47 fully automatic rifles are carried by military services, and extremist militants, in 106 countries around the world, because of their durability, low cost to produce, and ease of use. For Russia it is the single most profitable weapon in its arsenal, available on Europe’s black market for between $325 and $750. An upgrade is now available, bringing the price ever lower on older models.

Its use has caused

Obama to Put Alaska’s Wildlife Refuge Off Limits to Drilling

This article first appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Monday, January 26, 2015:

On Sunday the White House released a 58-second-long YouTube video of President Obama announcing that his Interior Department was about to present a “comprehensive plan” to “make sure that this amazing wonder [the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge — ANWR] is preserved for future generations.” That designation concerns the 1.5-million acre coastal plain of the ANWR, precisely the area that has been the focus of controversy since the late 1970s. It is said to have more than 10 billion barrels of recoverable oil beneath its surface, and has served as a political football between the oil industry and environmentalists ever since.

The reaction by Alaska Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski was instant:

The Second Amendment continues to Thrive, says Pew Research

This article first appeared at The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Monday, December 15, 2014:

Life has lately been hard for the anti-gunners and those opposed to the Second Amendment. According to Pew Research, it isn’t likely to get easier any time soon. For 20 years, Pew has been asking Americans a simple question:

What do you think is more important – to protect the right of Americans to own guns, OR to control gun ownership?

In 1993, the Second Amendment guaranteeing American citizens the right to keep and bear arms had few friends. According to Pew, just 34 percent of those polled thought it was more important than passing more gun control laws, while 57 percent favored more gun control legislation.

Its popularity hit bottom in March, 2000, about a year after the Columbine High School massacre in a Denver suburb, with just 29 percent supporting it compared to 66 percent wanting more controls.

Since then, however, Pew has been measuring a resurgence of support for the beleaguered guarantee,

Pew Research Shows Increasing Public Support for Gun Rights

This article first appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Friday, December 12, 2014:

On Thursday, just four days before the second anniversary of the horrific Newtown, Connecticut, massacre by Adam Lanza at Sandy Hook Elementary School, Pew Research released its latest poll on Americans’ view on the Second Amendment versus gun control. To some their conclusions were startling, while to others it was dismaying. The Washington Times reported that Americans’ support for gun rights “is higher than it’s been in decades,” while left-leaning CS Monitor was much more subdued, saying only that “Americans say protecting the rights of gun owners is more important than gun control.”

A closer look at the exact wording of the question that Pew has been asking Americans for 20 years, however, reveals a

Fracking Mythbusters

This is the second of two articles on fracking that will appear shortly in the print edition of The New American magazine:

Myths become reality only when they are left unchallenged. There are so many myths, half-truths, misstatements, and distortions about the issue of fracking that one scarcely knows where to begin. The most egregious is the falsehood that “you can light your tap water on fire because of fracking.”

This canard first saw the light of day in Gasland, a propaganda piece produced by Josh Fox (pictured below) and funded and supported by various extremist members and groups affiliated with the environmental movement. Early in the film, Fox showed a flaming faucet belonging to Weld County, Colorado, homeowner Mike Markham. In that segment, when a lighted match touched water flowing from his kitchen faucet, it virtually exploded into flame.

Not mentioned in that sequence, however, was that Markham knew about his flaming faucet well before Fox showed up on his doorstep with his cameramen and that he also knew that

The Keystone Pipeline Delay: Killing People; Saving the Environment

This article first appeared at The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Monday, October 20, 2014:

Some contend that the Keystone pipeline delay is having consequences that were intended from the beginning. Others contend that those urging the president to delay approval of Keystone weren’t smart enough to anticipate the negative consequences that delay is having.

But there they are, nevertheless. In an ironic coincidence, the Manhattan Institute published its report claiming that pipelines are far safer for the transportation of oil and gas than railroads in June 2013, the same month of the tragic

In death, as in life, the truth about Nelson Mandela is overlooked

With the widely anticipated passing of South African revolutionary leader Nelson Mandela late Thursday, December 5, presidents and dictators from around the world — as well as everyday people, and especially the press — are in mourning. Lost amid the tsunami of praise and adoration, almost canonization even according to some of his supporters, however, is the truth about the man himself, who was, after all,

US oil output is up 25 percent from just one year ago

If the increase in US oil output continues to increase by 25% every year, as it did from September 2012 to September 2013, total US output would double every three years. It’s a simple case of mathematics, compound interest, and the Rule of 72.

The main thing working to keep that from happening is

US Army Adds Evangelical Christians to its Extremists List, Thanks to the SPLC

Last month I made light of the fact that my name didn’t appear on the list of extremists published by the Southern Poverty Law Center, but I took comfort that a lot of people whom I know, and some friends, were on the list. This time my task is to expose them for what they really are: a “hate” group whose rants against “extremists” not only include evangelical Christians but attacks on the very foundation of the American republic.

A couple of biographical sketches on the SPLC are helpful in exposing them. From Wiki we find that the SPLC is “noted for its … educational programs that promote tolerance.” From the Legal Dictionary we learn that  the SPLC “tracks hate groups and runs a program to educate Americans about racism, anti-Semitism, and other forms of intolerance.”

From World News Daily we have learned that not only do their “programs” now put evangelical Christians at the top of the list, but that list is now being used by the US Army to indoctrinate its troops. In an Army reserve unit in Pennsylvania an Equal Opportunity training brief entitled “Extremism and Extremist Organizations” included a slide with the title “Religious Extremism.” That slide listed a number of truly evil and dangerous groups including the Muslim Brotherhood, al-Qaida, Hamas and the Nation of Islam. But at the top of the list was “evangelical Christianity.”

When word of this got out (an audience member, himself an evangelical Christian, got angry and demanded a copy of the program), Col. Ron Crews, executive director of the Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty, was outraged:

Men and women of faith who have served the Army faithfully for centuries shouldn’t be likened to those who have regularly threatened the peace and security of the United States. It is dishonorable for any U.S. military entity to allow this type of wrongheaded characterization. It also appears that some military entities are using definitions of “hate” and  “extreme” from the lists of anti-Christian political organizations…

The idea of salvation being exclusively through Christ is a key doctrine of the  Christian faith. It is amazing that the trainer felt they had the authority and right to list evangelical Christian, Catholics and orthodox Jews  alongside groups like the Muslim Brotherhood.

Crews then exposed where the Army got its information:

This is absolutely abhorrent to all those who identify themselves as evangelical  Christians in this country. We know other commands have used the  SPLC list in briefing soldiers about hate crimes and hate groups, but this particular briefing is the most egregious in terms of blatantly identifying evangelical Christianity as the number one extremist group in the United  States.

When the SPLC attacks evangelical Christianity, it attacks the foundations of the republic. Wiki again is helpful here. It notes that “its earliest leaders included John Wesley, George Whitfield and Jonathan Edwards,” amazing men who were instrumental during the Great Awakening of the 1730s and 40s and who laid the foundation for the beliefs held by most of the founders of the republic. The best study I’ve seen that explains the impact of evangelical Christianity on the founders is The Light and the Glory by Peter Marshall (son of Peter Marshall, the Senate Chaplain) and David Manuel.

Rather than celebrating the freedom from oppression that evangelicals accomplished at the founding of the republic, the SPLC shows the depths of its depravity by promoting such as “extremism.” What’s especially outrageous is that useful idiots in the US Army have picked up the lie and promoted it as truth to its troops.

Crews has been assured that the briefing in Pennsylvania was “isolated” and won’t be repeated, but I greet that with great skepticism. The SPLC will continue to spread its lies as it has for years. It’s a poison that continues to drip into the bloodstream of the American republic, rotting away its core values and leading its misinformed citizens back into slavery once again.

I’m not on the Southern Poverty Law Center’s list, again. Dang it.

I always look to see, though. It must mean that I’m not doing enough in the fight for freedom to warrant even a mention.  But some of my close friends are, though, so that counts for something.

The Southern Poverty Law Center monitors alleged hate groups, all on the right side of the political spectrum. Here’s how their report starts out. You’ll get their drift immediately:
