Have nothing to do with the [evil] things that people do, things that belong to the darkness. Instead, bring them out to the light... [For] when all things are brought out into the light, then their true nature is clearly revealed...

Need more Proof that CNN Stands for Communist News Network?

This article was published by The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Friday, February 23, 2018:

If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and hangs around with other ducks, it’s likely to be a duck.

Replace “duck” with “Van Jones” and “other ducks” with CNN, and one scarcely needs more evidence that CNN has rightly earned its sobriquet, the Communist News Network.

There’s more than sufficient evidence that CNN didn’t “overlook” Jones’ proud declaration that he is a communist, but they hired him – and keep him around – because he is a communist. He’s still around at CNN even after his noisy resignation from the Obama administration in September 2009 because his communist ideology and actions had become public knowledge. Just last month, CNN blessed this thug with his own “The Van Jones Show” with the radical Jay-Z being his first guest. Need more proof? Check “Sources” below.

All of which is background for a better understanding of CNN’s so-called “town hall” it launched just after the Florida shooting. It was so blatantly and clearly an attempt to

Venezuela’s Crude Oil Exports to U.S. Declining Sharply

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Monday, January 29, 2018:

The flow of Venezuelan heavy crude oil to U.S. Gulf Coast refineries dropped by 60 percent in the first three weeks of January, according to data from the U.S. Energy Information Agency (EIA). Shipments had been averaging around a million barrels a day, but they dropped to 394,000 bpd since the first of the year.

This adds to Marxist Nicolas Maduro’s financial woes, and none too soon, either. He has been relying on cash generated by those exports to continue to keep his regime in power. But now, in the famous words of Great Britain’s former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other peoples’ money.”

For Maduro “eventually” is upon him and his totalitarian dictatorship.

The news from the EIA is welcome but not surprising.

Venezuela Pushes Presidential Election Forward With Maduro the Only Candidate

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Wednesday, January 24, 2018:

Venezuela’s Marxist dictator Nicolas Maduro turned Tuesday’s ironic celebration of the end of Venezuela’s dictatorship of Marcos Perez Jimenez 60 years ago into securing the continuation of his own. He told his supporters that if the United Socialist Party, which he controls, wants him to run for reelection, “I’m ready to be a candidate.”

He then turned the celebration into a political rally, declaring once again that the real enemy causing the country’s economic decline into barter and chaos is the president of the United States: “Donald Trump is not the boss of Venezuela!” said Maduro, adding that since they still hold elections in Venezuela (even if they are phony), “The people rule in Venezuela, not empires.” Then, adding irony on top of audacity, Maduro asserted: “I’m ready.… We’re going to win big.”

The only way he’ll “win big” in the elections to be held before the end of April is because

Venezuela Descends into Barbarity and Depravity

This article was published by The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Friday, December 22, 2017:

Former Harvard University professor George Santayana said, “Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” What’s frustrating isn’t that those lessons are obscure; it’s that those promoting provable falsehoods from history are allowed such public acceptance and credibility. It reminds one of the cigarette sellers’ slogan: “Winston tastes good like a cigarette should.” Never mind that smoking will kill you.

That’s why this writer holds in such contempt liars like

If Socialism Is the Problem in Venezuela, More Sanctions Are Not the Solution

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Wednesday, September 20, 2017:

Overshadowed by his remarks concerning North Korea’s “Rocket Man” and the “worst ever” Iranian nuclear deal, President Donald Trump’s views on Venezuela in his speech at the United Nations on Tuesday were soft-pedalled by the mainstream media.

But they were spot on:

The problem in Venezuela is not that socialism has been poorly implemented but that socialism has been faithfully implemented. From the Soviet Union to Cuba, Venezuela — wherever socialism or communism has been adopted, it has delivered anguish, devastation and failure.

Those who preach the tenets of these discredited ideologies only contribute to the continued suffering of the people who live under these cruel systems

Trump then added, without being explicit:

Hurricane Harvey, President Trump Putting More Pressure on Venezuela

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Sunday, August 27, 2017:

On Friday President Donald Trump once again ramped up sanctions against Venezuela’s Marxist dictator, shutting off his ability to sell new debt or equity in the U.S. financial markets. On Saturday, Hurricane Harvey, the worst hurricane to hit the Gulf Coast in 50 years, has all but sealed Maduro’s fate.

Following Maduro’s installation of his illegal “constituent assembly” in July, President Trump placed sanctions on Maduro himself, freezing any and all of his assets lying within American jurisdiction. A week later Trump added a few of Maduro’s cronies to that list, and on August 9 he added a few more. At the time The New American expressed skepticism that they would have any effect on Maduro’s obstinacy and determination to continue policies that have caused Venezuela’s economy to shrink by 35 percent just since 2014.

On Friday the Trump administration broadened those sanctions to include

Additional Sanctions by United States Proving of Little Value in Venezuela

The U.S. Treasury Department slapped sanctions on another eight Venezuelan government officials on Wednesday, bringing the total now to nearly 30. This is a partial fulfillment of a promise by the Trump administration to sanction everyone involved in the establishment of the fraudulent Venezuelan “constituent assembly” sworn in on Tuesday.

Included among the eight is Adan Chavez, the late Marxist President Hugo Chavez’ elder brother, who now serves in the new assembly as secretary of its presidential commission.

In making the announcement, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said,

Dana Loesch and the NRA Miss an Opportunity to Tell the Whole Truth About the New York Times

This article was published by The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Wednesday, August 9, 2017:

Dana Loesch, the conservative radio talk show host and spokeswoman for the NRA, has cut several videos promoting the pro-Second Amendment group, sometimes with such cutting commentary as to arouse the ire of her intended targets. The latest one that surfaced last Thursday was aimed directly at the mouthpiece of the liberal establishment: The New York Times.

She called out the paper in no uncertain terms:

Maduro’s Revolution Is Eating Its Own

Nicolas Maduro, the communist thug who now rules Venezuela

Following the typical historical pattern of socialist takeovers, the Venezuelan National Constituent Assembly (NCA) replaced the duly elected National Assembly on Friday, opening the ceremony with a speech from a Cuban communist guerrilla, followed by a speech reflecting a total disconnect from reality, and ending with giving the boot to a former Chavista who has in recent months become an embarrassment.

Reiterating the theme that the United States, and especially President Donald Trump, is responsible for Venezuela’s troubles, Fernando Soto Rojas, a Cuban-trained guerilla, opened the meeting of the NCA, shouting, “Yankee imperialism has not been able to stop the march of the people!”

The NCA then appointed Maduro’s foreign minister Delcy Rodriguez as head of the new body. Her total disconnect from reality was exposed by her claim that

Maduro’s Socialist Revolution in Venezuela is Now Complete

This article was published by The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Monday, August 7, 2017:

Now that protesters have left the scene and Maduro has removed the primary thorn in his side, the socialist revolution begun by Marxist Hugo Chavez two decades ago now appears to be complete.

Before the new illegally elected National Constituent Assembly (NCA) took over on Friday, Maduro’s Prosecutor General, Luisa Ortega Diaz (shown), had become a thorn in his side. A hard-core Chavista, Diaz was appointed in 2007 and helped Hugo Chavez cement his position in place as Venezuela’s Marxist dictator. When her term ran out in 2014 she was appointed for another six-year term.

Things went sideways earlier this year when Maduro declared that

Sunday’s Phony Election in Venezuela Installs Marxist Dictatorship

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Monday, July 31, 2017:

The first order of business of the new “constituent assembly” voted unanimously into power on Sunday in Venezuela will be to exact retribution on President (now dictator) Nicolas Maduro’s enemies. Official installation takes place on Monday in the same palace where Maduro’s opposition won control overwhelmingly in 2015.

In a speech replete with attacks on the United States and President Donald Trump, Maduro (shown) engaged in political rhetoric designed to hide the truth of just what happened on Sunday:

Otto Warmbier Died of Oxygen Deprivation, Not Botulism as Claimed by His Torturers

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Tuesday, June 20, 2017:

The pain and grief suffered by the parents of Otto Warmbier, the American college student sentenced to 15 years of hard labor for allegedly stealing a propaganda poster while in North Korea last year, was evident in their statement issued Monday afternoon:

It is our sad duty to report that our son, Otto Warmbier, has completed his journey home. Surrounded by his loving family, Otto died today in 2:20pm.

It would be easy at a moment like this to focus on all that we lost — future time that won’t be spent with a warm, engaging, brilliant young man whose curiosity and enthusiasm for life knew no bounds. But we choose to focus on the time we were given to be with this remarkable person. You can tell from the outpouring of emotion from the communities that he touched — Wyoming, Ohio and the University of Virginia to name just two — that the love for Otto went well beyond his immediate family.

The statement put the lie to the claim by his captors that Otto died as a result of botulism early in his captivity. Instead, he died as a result of torture:

Trump Considering Oil Sanctions Against Venezuela

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Monday, June 5, 2017:

Senior White House officials, speaking anonymously to Reuters on Sunday, said that the Trump administration is considering various potential sanctions against the socialist Venezuelan regime headed up by Marxist Nicolas Maduro. Reuters assured its readers that the administration is just considering them, and there is nothing imminent planned — at least for the moment.

The present “package” of possible sanctions includes

Venezuela: Some Lessons Must be Learned Over and Over Again

This article was published by The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Monday, January 23, 2017:

George Santayana most famously said: “Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” But he wasn’t the only one. Aldous Huxley put it this way: “That men do not learn very much the lessons of history is the most important of all the lessons of history.” Said Samuel Taylor Coleridge: “If men could learn from history, what lessons it might teach us! But passion and party blind our eyes, and the light which experience gives us is a lantern on the stern which shines only on the waves behind.”

There’s a lesson being taught to the hapless and now helpless citizens (shown above) of Venezuela. It’s a lesson so often taught but not learned that one may, with great confidence, predict the final outcome.

On Friday Venezuela’s Marxist dictator, Nicolas Maduro, fired his banker,

Murders Up Nearly 11% in 2015, Most in 20 Years

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Tuesday, September 27, 2016:

Statistics from the FBI’s report Crime in the United States, 2015, released September 25, confirm previous reports that the long decline in violent crime has ended. Murders in the United States in 2015 rose by 10.8 percent over the previous year, dwarfing any increases seen over the last 20 years. And the rise continues into 2016, with reported homicides up another 15 percent through June compared to the same period last year.

What’s Really Behind Chicago’s Awful Shooting Spree?

This article was published by The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Wednesday, September 14, 2016:

FRSO Logo from frso.org.

The numbers truly are awful: for the year through September 8, nearly 3,000 Chicagoans have been shot – an average of one shooting victim every two hours. Of those, 516 have died of their wounds. That’s up nearly 50 percent over the same period a year ago, which was also up from the year before.

Just this past weekend eight people were shot to death, with another 33 wounded in Chicago. The reports came in so fast that Chicago’s CBS affiliate couldn’t keep up. It reported that the last shooting took place at 2:15am on Monday morning, but then had to modify the article before going online with it when another shooting took place at 4:30am.

Unbelievably, one of the shootings took place during

Rights Are Lost Slowly, Over Time, and Then All at Once

This article was published by The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Monday, August 22, 2016:

German Pastor Richard Niemoller (pictured) wasn’t the first to discover how totalitarians complete their takeover, but he is remembered for waxing poetic about just how the strategy works:

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out – because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out – because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out – because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me – and there was no one left to speak for me.

In the early 1930s, Niemoller supported Hitler. But when he observed the tyrant’s strategy of isolating his enemies and then eliminating them one by one, he opposed him. Niemoller spent years in a German concentration camp, and, upon his release in 1946, explained what he had seen with his own eyes:

CIA Waiting for Venezuelan Protests to Turn Sufficiently Violent

This article was published by The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Friday, July 29, 2016:

For at least the last two years, Venezuela’s Marxist President, Nicolas Maduro, has claimed that part of his problems stem from interventions planned by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). And for years most commentators and observers have written off those claims as more Marxist madness voiced by a dictator completely infused with paranoia.

However, analysts at the Center for Research on Globalization (CRG), headquartered in Montreal since 2001, have been watching and reporting on those plans by both the CIA and U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). If their research is accurate, and the protests in Caracas and three other cities in Venezuela turn sufficiently violent and bloody, the CIA may

Saul Alinsky

Wikipedia softly proclaims Saul Alinsky as the “founder of modern community organizing,” who used his “organizing skills” to “improve the living conditions of poor communities.” Alinsky, however, was more than that. Much more. A closer look (see sources below) reveals a Marxist whose goal was to enable fellow travelers in their attempts to destroy capitalism in the United States and replace it with communism. From his Rules for Radicals, Alinsky states:
