T.J. Lane, aka Thomas M. Lane, III, shot and killed three students at his high school in Chardon, Ohio, last February. The national media is lying low on this one, and I think I know why. T.J. is a monster, an animal, vermin. He planned the attack carefully, knew exactly who his victims were and where they would be sitting in the cafeteria at 7:30AM on Monday morning, February 27th. He shot six and killed three, and he has no regrets whatsoever.
His behavior in court yesterday was unconscionable. I considered carefully whether I should even cover this. But I think sometimes we give criminals too little credit for the evil they intend to wreak upon innocents. I’ll quote extensively from this Reuters article, with the warning that they placed prominently at the beginning: “This story contains graphic content.”
Lane showed up to his sentencing wearing a white T-shirt with the word “KILLER” in capital letters scrawled on it — the same word police say he had emblazoned on his shirt the day of the shootings at Chardon High School.
How the judge even allowed this to happen is beyond me. Lane wore a blue button-down shirt (and handcuffs) into the courtroom and when the handcuffs were removed, he took off his shirt, exposing his undershirt on which he had scrawled KILLER.
He laughed and smiled and smirked his way through the proceedings.
In a brief statement during his sentencing on Tuesday, Lane flipped his middle finger at people in the courtroom, which included family members of his victims…
Here’s that brief statement from the monster:
This hand that pulled the trigger that killed your sons now masturbates to the memory. F— all of you.
Reuters noted that this monster appeared normal:
In handing him the sentences, Fuhry said Lane lacked remorse for the killings. Lane was ruled mentally competent enough to stand trial last year despite evidence he suffers from hallucinations and psychosis. Fuhry said Tuesday that court examinations showed Lane faked mental illness and was such a smart student that he was set to graduate from high school early…
Because he was 17 at the time, he couldn’t be given a death sentence. Instead the judge gave him three life sentences without chance for parole. Those of you who have seen Shawshank Redemption know what’s going to happen to him. The mother of one of the victims is glad. Said Dina Parmertor, mother of slain victim of Daniel:
I want you to be ensured years and years of pain, which in my opinion is not enough. You don’t deserve to take another breath while my 16-year-old son lies in the ground because of your cold, disgusting actions. You’re a pathetic excuse for a human being. In fact, you’re not even human. You’re a monster.
Lane just smirked at her as was led away.
