This article from the Washington Times just confirms what I and many other writers and researchers have confirmed: not only is Obama a confirmed socialist and communist, but he is determined to continue to promote his ideology in full view. His advisers, in other words, don’t care who knows – the path ahead is “forward”:
The Obama campaign apparently didn’t look backwards into history when selecting its new campaign slogan, “Forward” — a word with a long and rich association with European Marxism.
Victor Morton, the WT writer, didn’t have to look very far to prove the point. He went to Wikipedia:
Wikipedia has an entire section called “Forward (generic name of socialist publications).”
“The name Forward carries a special meaning in socialist political terminology. It has been frequently used as a name for socialist, communist and other left-wing newspapers and publications,” the online encyclopedia explains.
The slogan “Forward!” reflected the conviction of European Marxists and radicals that their movements reflected the march of history, which would move forward past capitalism and into socialism and communism.
That’s an interesting way of phrasing it: “move forward past capitalism.” Actually Obama intends to destroy capitalism and replace it with the form of socialism called fascism. Unfortunately, Wikipedia doesn’t serve us very well with this rendering of fascism, tying it to “national socialism” or nazism. That’s long been a tactic of the left, diverting the conversation from economics to politics.
Elsewhere – you have to dig for it – Wikipedia redeems itself by saying that “Fascists support the state having control over the economy, although they support the existence of private property.” Thomas Sowell calls this the most vicious form of socialism as it makes it appears as though people still own their property and their businesses but they are in fact regulated by the government. It’s vicious because when government regulations cause the inevitable disruptions in the economy, the government can blame the capitalists.
Morton has done his homework, and his findings remove any doubt whatsoever that the Obama campaign knows exactly what it’s doing:
There have been at least two radical-left publications named “Vorwaerts” (the German word for “Forward”). One was the daily newspaper of the Social Democratic Party of Germany whose writers included Friedrich Engels and Leon Trotsky…
Another was the 1844 biweekly reader of the Communist League. Karl Marx, Engels and Mikhail Bakunin are among the names associated with that publication.
There is no longer any doubt – if doubt there be – about Obama and his communist advisors and their intentions. They’re hoping to fool at least half the voters come November.
