Have nothing to do with the [evil] things that people do, things that belong to the darkness. Instead, bring them out to the light... [For] when all things are brought out into the light, then their true nature is clearly revealed...

Donald Trump, Meet Randolph Bourne

This article was published by The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Monday, April 16, 2018:

The Founding Fathers, through their study of history, personal experience, and the Holy Scriptures, knew the nature of man. Accordingly, they did everything they could think of to, as Jefferson put it, “bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.” Jesus asked, “Whoever is without sin, throw the first stone.” The Apostle Paul said, “All of have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” adding “There is no one righteous, no, not one.”

George Washington put it this way: “Government is not reason. It is not eloquence. It is force. Like fire, it is both a dangerous servant and a fearful master.”

But President Donald Trump, although he may be generally aware of the Founders’ distrust of man, is not likely to know anything about Randolph Bourne. That’s unfortunate because what Bourne wrote back in 1918 would certainly be helpful right about now.  Titled “War is the Health of the State,” Bourne explained:

Navarro or Kudlow for Trump’s Chief Economic Advisor? Navarro in a Walk.

This article was published by The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Wednesday, March 14, 2018:

Reuters reported that Trump is down to the final two candidates to fill the void left by Gary Cohn’s departure: Peter Navarro and Larry Kudlow. Kudlow has an elegant public persona honed through years of practice while Navarro is known to be abrasive and harsh both in public and in private.

But Peter Navarro has the president’s ear, at least for the moment. Navarro persuaded the president that “free trade” agreements like NAFTA and the TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership) are Trojan Horses: all dressed up to look like “free trade” (who could be against that?), but hiding inside the machinery for regional and then international government. And he won the battle of tariffs, resulting in the departure of globalist Gary Cohn (CFR member and former Goldman Sachs CEO).

Navarro knows what Kudlow should know about China. Navarro wrote a book about the threat while Kudlow has yet to mention it on his CNBC show “The Kudlow Report.” The threat has been successfully hidden by the mainstream media for years until Navarro wrote

Trump Considering Kudlow, Navarro to Replace Cohn as Chief Economic Advisor

The vacuum left by Gary Cohn’s departure last Tuesday will be filled shortly, either by Peter Navarro or by Larry Kudlow. Reuters reported that these are the president’s “top two candidates” to replace Cohn as chief economic advisor.

Navarro, as The New American reported, led the White House team that persuaded the president to keep America first by imposing tariffs to protect what’s left of the country’s vital industrial base. Kudlow, the Democrat-turned-Republican with a history of cocaine abuse (a $100,000-a-month habit until he successfully exited rehab in the 1990s) and supporting left-wing causes and candidates in his younger days, was grieved to learn of Cohn’s departure. As The New American reported,

Globalist Trump Advisor Gone, Will Americanist Take His Place?

Gary D. Cohn, FORMER Trump advisor

Following the president’s decision to impose tariffs on aluminum and steel imports, Donald Trump’s chief economic advisor, Gary Cohn, announced his resignation on Tuesday. Cohn had led a team pushing Trump not to impose those tariffs, but lost out to another team pushing to keep America first.

Wall Street took the news poorly, thinking that those tariffs could lead to a trade war. But the Wall Street Journal intimated indirectly in its coverage that something much different, and vastly more important, is at stake.

Globalist Insider Peter Sutherland Leaves Interventionist Legacy

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Monday, January 15, 2018:

The death on January 7 of Peter Sutherland, 71, the “father of globalization” (a moniker applied to him by President Clinton’s secretary of commerce) leaves a hole in the broad plan by globalists to use free trade as a cover for the completion of the New World Order to be run by them. Ireland’s Prime Minister Leo Varadkar declared that Sutherland was somehow strangely a tripartite loyalist: “an Irishman, a committed European, and a proud internationalist.” Varadkar said nothing about how Sutherland used his divided loyalties to build international trade agreements that led to significant abrogation of Ireland’s national sovereignty.

European Commission (EC) President Jean-Claude Juncker was clearer,

The Unlamented Passing of a “Free Trade” Pro-illegal Immigration Fraud, Peter Sutherland

Peter D. Sutherland

Peter Sutherland lived just long enough to see his dream – a beige world filled with non-resistant sheeple – seriously challenged. He is quoted as saying that plans to extricate itself from the European Union by the United Kingdom (Brexit) are “insane” and “morally indefensible.” During President Trump’s first year in office, Sutherland was in declining health (he’d suffered a heart attack last year and had never fully recovered) and so quotes about his opinion of MAGA and “America First” aren’t available. But during Trump’s presidential campaign Sutherland was in full throat:

Sessions Links Chicago’s Mayor to City’s Crime, Calls Him a Dictator

The decibel level in the war of words between Trump’s AG Jeff Sessions and Chicago’s Mayor Rahm Emanuel reached painful heights on Wednesday. At issue is illegal immigration, and harboring illegals or deporting them. The underlying issue is the conflict of power between the federal government and the states.

The Federalist considered the issue and concluded that immigration, legal or illegal, was a concern only of the states, and of no concern to the national government:

Tom DeWeese uncovered a chilling example of the intentions of those entering the United States illegally. DeWeese, author of several books and an unabashed defender of national sovereignty, quoted this from the Chicano Student Movement of Astlan (MEChA), a group which intends to “reconquer” the American southwest:

Opponents of Venezuela’s Maduro Will Launch “Final Offensive” on Thursday

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Wednesday, July 19, 2017:

Thursday’s called strike could be the culmination of the rush of events leading to the successful removal of Venezuela’s Marxist dictator, Nicolas Maduro (shown). The strike called by Maduro’s political opposition is the “final offensive” in the months-long effort to depose him, according to Freddy Guevara, one of the opposition leaders. Said Guevara, “We are calling all the country to take part in a massive and violence-free protest through a nationwide strike for 24 hours,” adding that it would be a “mechanism for pressure and to prepare for the definitive escalation to take place next week.”

Last Sunday nearly 7½ million Venezuelans voted informally to protest Maduro’s plans to replace key members of the country’s legislative body, creating a “Constituent Assembly” that would lay the groundwork for rewriting the country’s constitution and cementing Maduro into office permanently. That vote is scheduled for Sunday, July 30.

One of those overseeing last Sunday’s plebiscite was the president of the University of Venezuela, Cecilia Garcia Arocha. She said the result of last Sunday’s vote “sent a clear message to the national executive [the Maduro regime] and the world.”

The world is listening.

With Nod to Sovereignty, Trump Dumps UN “Climate” Regime

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Thursday, June 1, 2017. It was written by Alex Newman, a colleague of mine, and is reprinted here with his permission.

After months of keeping the world in suspense about his intentions, President Donald Trump formally announced that the United States would be withdrawing from the United Nations “Paris Agreement” on alleged man-made global warming. Blasting the non-binding UN scheme as a counterproductive effort to disadvantage America and redistribute U.S. wealth rather than fix the “climate,” Trump portrayed the decision as one that puts “America First.” He also chastised foreign powers and their lobbyists for demanding that the United States continue to handicap its economy under the guise of doing virtually nothing for the climate. The withdrawal, Trump said, represents the “re-assertion of America’s sovereignty” and a fulfillment of his efforts to re-invigorate the American economy. It was also the fulfillment of Trump’s oft-repeated pledge to “cancel” the UN scheme.

However, frustrating some of his supporters and climate realists, Trump also indicated that he was open to either re-negotiating the Paris Agreement or creating a similar international “climate” regime that would be more “fair” to the United States. In fact, the president even offered to work with Democrat Party leaders to create a new global-warming scheme — provided

Trump Administration Tips Its Hand, Oks Third Greek Bailout

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Monday, April 17, 2017:

It took EURACTIV, the online source that focuses on European policymaking, to report that the Trump administration has signaled that, previous protestations to the contrary, it won’t object to a third Greek bailout. The anonymous Trump administration tipster told its reporters: “We’re looking for the Europeans to help Greece to resolve its economic problems by the Fund [the International Monetary Fund], despite the criticism of many Republicans regarding the two previous bailout programs in 2010 and 2012.”

This anonymous tip kicks to the curb protestations voiced by Trump’s Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin in February that

Former Labor Secretary Thomas Perez New DNC Chairman

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Monday, February 27, 2017:

Democrat “establishment” candidate Thomas Perez (standing next to Obama, below) became the new Democratic National Committee chairman in Atlanta on Saturday, by a vote of 235-200. Keith Ellison, far-left member of the House from Minnesota, came in a close second, after a second vote was necessary to determine the winner.

Hard-left groups, hoping to pull the Democrat Party even further left with an Ellison victory, were disappointed in Perez’ win. Jim Dean, chair of Democracy for America, which was founded by by his brother, former Vermont Governor and 2004 Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean, in 2004, said:

It was decided that, once the so-called “peace” terms were put in place to punish Germany and its allies after the War to end all wars, various insiders decided a one-world government was needed to keep such a catastrophe from occurring in the future. When George Soros Dies, Who Will Run His Money, and for What Purposes?

This article was published at The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Friday, January 20, 2017:

Speculation abounds. George Soros (shown) turned 86 last August, and the clock is ticking. He lost $1 billion betting against Trump in November, but still has $25 billion left. When he meets his Maker (likely for the first time), who will drive the billionaire’s Wells Fargo wagon?

Out of his five kids, two are heirs apparent:

Alexander Soros, Scion of Billionaire George Soros, Being Groomed to Take Control

Alexander Soros

According to Media Research Center (MRC,) Alexander Soros (shown), one of billionaire George Soros’ five children, opened his father’s checkbook and gave more than $4.5 million to various Democratic campaign and political action committees last year. Between August and November the Soros scion wrote four checks to Senator Harry Reid’s Senate Majority PAC totaling $3.5 million. The other checks went to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, the Democratic National Committee Services Corporation, and other left-wing groups and politicians.

Although it’s George’s money, Alexander is making the decisions on a major part of his father’s estimated $25 billion. And it appears to be part of a plan to move Alexander into the driver’s seat when his father, age 86, passes from the scene. Dan Gainer, the MRC vice president who tracks the numbers, told the Washington Times: “Alexander Soros is following in both his father’s and brother’s footsteps — going left.” He added:

Sign from the John Birch Society advocating US withdrawal from the United Nations

The election of Donald Trump has generated much buzz in the mainstream media over the inaccuracy of the polls, why the American people voted as they did, and of course, what Trump will do as president. The buzz has also included claims that Trump will undo much of what has been done under Obama, that he will imperil our “democracy,” and that “Trumpism” is the latest manifestation of The John Birch Society. The New American magazine recently had the opportunity to sit down with and interview Arthur R. Thompson, the CEO of The John Birch Society, and ask him about this, his thoughts about this past election, and also what lies ahead for the Society in the coming years. Thompson (shown on the right, with interviewer Christopher Gomez) became CEO of The John Birch Society in 2005 and is now in his 11th year.

The New American: How does the election of Donald Trump to the White House affect or change any of the goals of The John Birch Society, as compared to the Obama administration or a Hillary presidency had she won?

Trump: TPP RIP; Put “America First”

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Wednesday, November 23, 2016:

On Tuesday, November 8, the election of Donald Trump foretold the death-knell of the Trans-Pacific Partnership — assuming of course he meant what he said when he made opposition to the jobs- and sovereignty-destroying TPP a signature part of his campaign. On Monday, November 21, President-elect Trump posted a short video message on Facebook (available on YouTube) citing several executive actions he would take on “day one” as president. First mentioned: “I am going to issue a notification of intent to withdraw from the Trans Pacific Partnership, a potential disaster for our country.”

In the same video, Trump also said:
