Have nothing to do with the [evil] things that people do, things that belong to the darkness. Instead, bring them out to the light... [For] when all things are brought out into the light, then their true nature is clearly revealed...

Are Concerns Over EMP Attack From North Korea Overblown?

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Tuesday, May 16, 2017:

North Korea and weapons of mass destruction

While the mainstream media is focusing most of its attention on North Korea’s missile tests, it is largely ignoring what some are calling the rogue nation’s real threat: using one or both of its two present satellites hovering over the United States to launch an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) attack instead.

One of those scoffing at the very idea of EMP attack from North Korea is Jeffrey Lewis, who blogs in favor of nonproliferation at his site “Arms Control Wonk.” On National Public Radio in April, Geoff Brumfiel asked him: “Could North Korea really do this?” Lewis laughed, responding, “This is the favorite nightmare scenario of a small group of very dedicated people.”

Dr. Peter Vincent Pry, chief of staff of the Congressional Commission to Assess the Threat to the United States from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Attack, warned on Monday:

$25 Billion Wasted last year, says Senator Coburn

This article first appeared at The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Friday, October 24, 2014:

Official portrait of United States Senator (R-OK).

Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK).

Entering his final year as Senator from Oklahoma, Dr. Tom Coburn just issued his “Wastebook” for 2014, listing 100 examples of government waste totaling more than $25 billion. They range from the ridiculous to the sublime, from the silly to the fraudulent. The fact that $25 billion is less than 7/10 of 1% of the total budget does little to mute the message or soften the impact of the ghastly, egregious projects at which the federal government is throwing heaps and gobs of taxpayer monies.

Faced with deadlines, journalists at the Washington Post, MSN.com, and GOPUSA.com were forced to pick and choose from this rancid buffet. The Post selected

Sen. Coburn’s Final 2014 Wastebook Is Funny, Sad, and Outrageous

This article first appeared at TheNewAmerican.com on Thursday, October 23, 2014:

Oklahoma Republican Senator Tom Coburn’s final edition of his “Wastebook” lists 100 ways that the federal government is wasting taxpayer dollars on wacky, useless, and exasperating projects. Coburn first served in the House of Representatives for three terms and then two more terms as Senator. Battling prostate cancer and keeping his pledge not to run for a third term, Coburn is retiring at the end of this year. He has rightfully earned the sobriquet from big spending Democrats as “Dr. No.”

Journalists across the political spectrum enjoyed selecting their own “favorite” projects to explore, decry, and ridicule. Josh Hicks at the Washington Post picked his favorite nine, including

Climate Changers Commit Fraud by Changing the Numbers

The James Hansens of the world just can’t seem to catch a break. Before he supported APG – anthropogenic global warming – he scoffed at it. Climategate added to the pile of woes facing those predicting the end of humankind thanks to global warming, while the list of legitimate scientists (those without funding and therefore not beholden) continues to grow longer almost by the day.

That’s how truth will out: drip by drip by drip.

Steven Goddard, who blogs at Real Science, explained how he happened to learn about NASA’s latest manipulation of US temperature data:

More Proof that US Climate Temperature data is being Manipulated

Writing in his Real Science blog, Steven Goddard explained how he found out that NASA had altered US temperature readings to show a warming trend where none existed: he compared graphs published on NASA’s website in 1999 to those available today. He even set up an animation of the two temperature graphs to show the extent of the fraud.

He went further by exhuming quotes from climate changers who also have changed their opinions, including the infamous James Hansen. In 2003 Hansen authored a paper for the UN’s Framework Convention on Climate Change entitled “Can We Defuse the Global Warming Time Bomb?” in which he concluded that “halting global warming requires urgent, unprecedented international cooperation…” with the clear implication that

2nd Generation Quantum Computer System to “Improve” Machine Learning

Two unheralded announcements in May about the collaboration of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Google, and a private, non-profit group, the Universities Space Research Association (USRA) marked an impressive, and potentially threatening, milestone in “machine learning” – teaching computers how to
