Have nothing to do with the [evil] things that people do, things that belong to the darkness. Instead, bring them out to the light... [For] when all things are brought out into the light, then their true nature is clearly revealed...

“Stand for the Second” Student Walkout Extends Across the land

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Wednesday, May 2, 2018:

Will Riley, a senior at the 1,600-student Carlsbad High School in Carlsbad, New Mexico, got upset when he saw the mainstream media fawning over the likes of David Hogg and his March for Our Lives rally. He decided to do something about it: “I’m watching the news and I see they’re saying, ‘Well, we have to do something about [school shootings]. We have to enact some sort of gun control legislation because this is what the kids are asking for.’ And I’m thinking, ‘I’m not asking for that. I look at my friends and I think, ‘They’re not asking for that.’”

So, on his own, he started “Stand for the Second” — a 16-minute walkout by students at Carlsbad to support the Second Amendment. The walkout took place today at 10 a.m. Said Riley, “I wanted to give a voice to all of the people who feel that they’re being misrepresented by the media.”

Riley was invited to express his views by the Washington Examiner, and he unloaded on the mainstream media’s attempt to apply the views of David Hogg to every student in the country. He wrote in April:

More Fake News: NRA Bans Guns at Its Own Convention!

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Tuesday, May 1, 2018:

It all started with an Associated Press (AP) tweet: “NRA bans guns at President Trump, VP Pence speeches during it’s [sic] annual meeting in Dallas.” The Washington Post jumped on it, as if it were real news, offering a misleading headline to its story: “The NRA said guns will be banned during a Pence speech; Parkland students see hypocrisy.”

This likely reflected a tweet from one of the “heroes” of the Parkland, Florida, massacre, Cameron Kasky, who is credited with founding the anti-gun group March for Our Lives. Tweeted Kasky: “The NRA has evolved into such a hilarious parody of itself.”

The Huffington Post chimed in:

Media’s Relentless Attacks Against Trump May be Backfiring

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Thursday, April 5, 2018:

It wasn’t the Rasmussen poll on Tuesday that upset members of the mainstream media. They have long since written off Rasmussen’s polls as biased towards Republicans. So when Rasmussen reported on Tuesday that President Trump’s approval rating rose to 51 percent — the third time this year that his rating has been at 50 percent or above — they all but ignored it.

It was the CNN poll from a few days earlier that they couldn’t understand. While that poll, covering 913 individuals from March 22 through 25, still showed Trump’s approval rating at 43 percent, that was a huge jump from previous poll results. As Newt Gingrich explained, “the result was so shocking that CNN commentator Chris Cillizza, who is normally deeply anti-Trump, had to spend time analyzing [the results] in which the president performed so much better in March than he did in February”:

In its Attempt to Destroy Trump, the Mainstream Media is Destroying Itself

This article was published by The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Friday, April 6, 2018:

So committed is the mainstream media in the United States to their purpose – destroy Trump in any way they can – that it took a foreign journalist to point out to them what they are really doing. Writing in the U.S. edition of the liberal British news magazine The Week, journalist Matthew Walther, said:

It’s not surprising that after little more than a year in office, many people who voted for the president still support him. But it’s also surprising that a president who has been the object of more negative reporting than any in our history still enjoys something like the same middling base of support he had before taking office.

Unless it’s the negative reporting that is the problem, which I suspect is very largely the case….

Walther makes the case that if the mainstream media hadn’t abandoned its primary mission as the fourth estate – to bring full-blown fair and honest conversation about current affairs to the public – and instead decided to make its primary, if not only, mission to destroy Trump and his administration, things might be turning out differently:

High-school Students Stage Walkout to Support the Second Amendment

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Monday, April 2, 2018:

The completely unplanned, unstaged, unfunded, and spontaneous gathering of 75 students outside Rockledge High School in Brevard County, Florida, last Friday morning was almost completely ignored by the mainstream media. Organized by Chloe Deaton, a sophomore, and Anna Delaney, a junior, the event lasted 20 minutes, just long enough to make their point: Other students in the same high school and around the country who urged more infringements on the people’s right to keep and bear arms didn’t speak for them.

After playing the national anthem (no one kneeled) and “God Bless America” on loudspeakers set up on the school’s track, Delaney told her classmates, “We were built on certain rights and that was one of the original rights, that we should have the right to bear arms.” She can be forgiven for failing to note that the right to self-defense and, thereby, the access to tools useful for self-defense are natural rights and pre-date the Constitution.

She made up for her misstatement by quoting President Ronald Reagan, who got it right:

Is the Bull Market in Stocks Over?

This article was published by The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Wednesday, March 28, 2018:

Followers of the Dow Theory are having their faith in Wall Street’s oldest and most accurate market-timing model tested. Last week’s selloff triggered one of the last two indicators necessary for its followers to declare that the nine-year old bull market has ended.

Charles Dow never used his theory to trade stocks, but his followers have, with great success. It has outperformed the traditional “buy and hold” strategy by an astonishing 4.4 percentage points annually. Mark Hulbert, who watches the market watchers and publishes his results in his Hulbert Financial Digest, wrote that the key support levels to watch are 23,860 on the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) and 10,136 on the Dow Jones Transportation Average (DJT).

Near the close on Friday, the Dow broke through support, but

Media Bias Evident in Coverage of Great Mills High School Shooting

Just hours after the shooting at Great Mills High School in Maryland that ended without significant blood being shed by innocents thanks to an armed school resource officer (SRO), Gadsen1805 commented regarding an AP story about the incident: “Good guy with a gun puts an end to a planned mass shooting … let’s see how much press this gets.”

A better question Gadsen1805 might have asked is “How is the mainstream media going to twist this to fit their anti-gun agenda?”

Anti-gun Hollywood Turning off Americans

A poll conducted by Zogby Analytics during the last week of February showed how the combination of hypocrisy and real-world facts are negating Hollywood’s anti-gun message. When 869 likely voters were asked by Zogby, “When Hollywood actors and actresses speak out about gun control, does that make you want to support or oppose our constitutional right to bear arms (the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution)?”, the response across every class, age group, and political party affiliation indicated that Hollywood’s anti-gun message is being increasingly rejected. Taken altogether, 56 percent of those polled said Hollywood’s anti-gun rants make them want either to “somewhat” support or “strongly support” the Second Amendment. Just 28 percent are reflecting the bias pitched by Hollywood, with 16 percent “strongly opposed” to the right guaranteed by the Second Amendment in the Constitution’s Bill of Rights, and 12 percent “somewhat opposed.”

But support for the Second Amendment was strongest among Millennials:

Pennsylvania’s Special Election is Bad News for Democrats

This article was published by The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Friday, March 16, 2018:

Despite claims by the mainstream media that the victory of the Democrat in Pennsylvania’s special election on Tuesday over the Trump-endorsed Republican sounded the death knell for Republicans in November, the exact opposite is true. The only way Democrats have any chance of turning the 25 seats they need in the House in their direction is for them to become Republicans. That’s the lesson from Pennsylvania.

It wasn’t so much a battle of Republican versus Democrat but a battle of Americanist A versus Americanist B. Americanist A, one Conor Lamb, looks like he was selected from central casting: handsome, articulate, and skilled in public discourse. Americanist B, Rick Saccone, didn’t measure up. Lamb’s campaign supporting the Second Amendment, Trump’s tariffs, the local coal industry, the right to life for the unborn left Saccone without any leverage. How does one debate someone who already agrees with you on the basics?

Navarro or Kudlow for Trump’s Chief Economic Advisor? Navarro in a Walk.

This article was published by The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Wednesday, March 14, 2018:

Reuters reported that Trump is down to the final two candidates to fill the void left by Gary Cohn’s departure: Peter Navarro and Larry Kudlow. Kudlow has an elegant public persona honed through years of practice while Navarro is known to be abrasive and harsh both in public and in private.

But Peter Navarro has the president’s ear, at least for the moment. Navarro persuaded the president that “free trade” agreements like NAFTA and the TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership) are Trojan Horses: all dressed up to look like “free trade” (who could be against that?), but hiding inside the machinery for regional and then international government. And he won the battle of tariffs, resulting in the departure of globalist Gary Cohn (CFR member and former Goldman Sachs CEO).

Navarro knows what Kudlow should know about China. Navarro wrote a book about the threat while Kudlow has yet to mention it on his CNBC show “The Kudlow Report.” The threat has been successfully hidden by the mainstream media for years until Navarro wrote

Trump Considering Kudlow, Navarro to Replace Cohn as Chief Economic Advisor

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Tuesday, March 13, 2018:

Kudlow & Cramer

Kudlow & Cramer

The vacuum left by Gary Cohn’s departure last Tuesday will be filled shortly, either by Peter Navarro or by Larry Kudlow. Reuters reported that these are the president’s “top two candidates” to replace Cohn as chief economic advisor.

Navarro, as The New American reported, led the White House team that persuaded the president to keep America first by imposing tariffs to protect what’s left of the country’s vital industrial base. Kudlow, the Democrat-turned-Republican with a history of cocaine abuse (a $100,000-a-month habit until he successfully exited rehab in the 1990s) and supporting left-wing causes and candidates in his younger days, was grieved to learn of Cohn’s departure. As The New American reported,

No Weapons Violations in First Six Months of Campus Carry at KU Lawrence

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Tuesday, March 6, 2018:

John Lott (left) being presented SAF’s Journalist of the Year

In a report that the national media didn’t deem newsworthy, the Office of Public Safety at the Lawrence campus of the University of Kansas (KU) said last week that during the first six months that students were allowed to carry concealed on campus, there were no incidents — zero criminal weapons violations — to report. But the office did report that overall crime, mostly thefts, dropped by 13 percent.

The report said nothing about the freedom granted students starting last July to carry concealed on campus if they so desired, but instead stated that the drop in crime and the utter lack of weapons violations were likely due to “the use of security technology on campus, such as cameras … and more police and security officers [that] were added to the Public Safety Office in 2017.”

Undoubtedly, if there had been one weapons violation — just one — it would have made headline news in every liberal media outlet in the country. But in its absence, the media has remained silent.

The Kansas City Star noted that prior to July 1,

More Schools Allow Teachers and Staff to Arm Themselves

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Monday, March 5, 2018:

During the Pike County, Kentucky, school board hearing last Wednesday night, the board reached a unanimous decision to approve arming teachers and staff at the county’s 25 schools. Predictably, Executive Director Jon Akers of the Kentucky Center for School Safety said that “every educational group across the country” opposes the idea.

Said Akers, the idea “scares me to death … arming people who are not trained equal to that of law enforcement officers is risky.”

Akers’ argument, like so many being offered by people such as him, just doesn’t hold any water. Under the new proposal, school teachers and staff could volunteer to carry concealed at the schools, but only after passing a background check, a drug test, a mental evaluation, and a qualification course. And they would have to requalify regularly.

Teachers’ unions are nearly out of arguments, especially in light of the massacre of innocents in Florida on Valentine’s Day. Those innocent students had no chance to defend themselves because the school was declared a “gun free” zone. Those opposed to arming teachers say that such programs

Bernie Sanders Rails Against Trump and Tax Reform as Dems Flounder

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Tuesday, February 27, 2018:

Bernie Sanders, the 76-year-old socialist senator from Vermont, looks and sounds more like a candidate for president in 2020 than a protester against Trump’s tax-reform law. On a 100-day-long “protest tour” opposing the new law that has put millions of dollars into the paychecks and pockets of tens of thousands of working Americans, Bernie’s supporters are selling “Bernie 2020” t-shirts and signs touting him for president in 2020.

His message is the same one he promoted when he was really running for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination back in 2016 against Hillary Clinton:

CNN: Democrats are Headed for Real Trouble in November

This article was published by The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Wednesday, February 28, 2018:

When far-left CNN, proclaimed here and elsewhere as the Communist News Network, suggests that the Democrats might be in trouble come November, one can rest assured that they are truly in deep kimchi (a Korean side dish made with fermented vegetables). Political writer for CNN Eric Bradner sounded the alarm two weeks ago:

Caught flat-footed by the suddenly increasing popularity of the GOP tax plan, leading Democrats are urging the party’s candidates to … focus their campaigns [instead] on the economy.

That’s because Trump’s tax reform law “is now seen favorably by about half of voters … as Democrats fear that their chances of claiming House and Senate majorities in November’s midterm elections are slipping.”

Slipping? How about disappearing? How would any Democrat running for reelection in November respond positively to taxpayers’ questions about why he or she didn’t vote to allow them to keep more of their income? Left-wing Priorities USA just issued a memo warning that the debate over tax reform “has been relatively one-sided recently and voters have not heard nearly as much from Democrats.”

Bradner added:

When President Trump learned that a Broward County (Florida) sheriff could have ended the shooting spree almost immediately but didn’t, he told a reporter: “He [Scot Peterson] trained his whole life. When it came time to get in there and do something, he didn’t have the courage or something happened, but he certainly did a poor job – there’s no question about that.”

If the reporter asked Trump what he meant by “something happened” it was not recorded. But the president, who knows more than he is allowed to say about such incidents, might have given away the scam.

Media Stacking the Deck for Gun Control Following Florida Shooting

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Thursday, February 22, 2018:

During the two-day White House conference on school safety, Andrew Pollack, the father of a child who was killed during the Florida school massacre last week, summed up the feelings of many: “How many schools, how many children need to get shot? I am not going to sleep until it is fixed!”

The question is, what is “it” that needs to be fixed?

Potentially Deadly Mass Shooting Thwarted, Ignored by MSM

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Monday, February 19, 2018:

Mainstream media (MSM) bias was never more clearly displayed than when it ignored what could have been one of the deadliest mass shootings in American history in favor of the Florida school shooting. It happened the same day — Valentine’s Day — in Amarillo, Texas, when an armed street person entered the Faith City Mission and took between 100 and 150 worshipers hostage. Joshua Len Jones, age 35, who had been attending the morning service, left the building, retrieved a handgun, reentered the building, and threatened worshipers with it

The MSM was no doubt alerted by local media as soon as the event took place. But what unfolded would not serve their anti-gun agenda

Another Mental Case Shoots Up Florida School

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Thursday, February 15, 2018:

Almost immediately after the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on Wednesday afternoon, anti-gun group Everytown for Gun Safety decried it as the sixth school shooting so far this year. Others claimed that the shooter, Nikolas Cruz, a 19-year-old who was previously expelled from the school for disciplinary reasons, was a mental case who should never have had a firearm in the first place. In most media the common theme was the danger of guns and their proliferation.

Cruz left abundant clues about his mental instability:
