Have nothing to do with the [evil] things that people do, things that belong to the darkness. Instead, bring them out to the light... [For] when all things are brought out into the light, then their true nature is clearly revealed...

Is the NFL Now Just Another Progressive Mouthpiece?

Far-left progressive Joe Lockhart took over PR duties at the NFL in February 2016. In August, black revolutionary Colin Kaepernick took a knee. Roger Goodell did nothing, despite NFL rules that players are not allowed to make political statements while working.

Is this a bridge too far?

Let’s consider.

Dodgers Sportscaster Vin Scully Latest to Snub the NFL

Last week, former sportcaster Vin Scully expressed his disgust with NFL players kneeling — aka, the “anthem protests” — by making his final announcement: “I will never watch another NFL game again.” Added Scully, “I am so disappointed.… I used to love, during the fall and winter, to watch the NFL on Sunday…. I was in the Navy.… I have overwhelming respect and admiration for anyone who puts on a uniform and goes to war.”

Scully, the voice of the Brooklyn Dodgers and then the Los Angeles Dodgers for an astonishing 67 seasons, was best known for his introduction to Dodger baseball:

49ers Football Team Donates $500,000 to Anti-gun Push

Not content with losing its first eight games of the season (a franchise record low) or winning just seven out of its last 40 games, the San Francisco 49ers football team announced it is doubling down in its efforts to offend its fans even more grievously: On Thursday it announced that the team would be donating $500,000 to a gaggle of anti-gun groups working to ban “bump stocks,” gun suppressors, and so-called armor-piercing bullets. Nick Wagoner of ESPN delivered the news as follows: “The 49ers announced … that they are joining local and national law enforcement in signing a pledge for a ‘more understanding and safer America.’ The Niners have pledged $500,000 toward the campaign [the Pledge for a More Understanding and Safer America], which will advocate for legislation banning ‘bump stocks’ and other mechanisms that allow semi-automatic weapons to become automatic weapons, as well as silencers [suppressors] and armor-piercing bullets.” The coalition included left-wing, anti-gun unions, such as the San Jose Police Officers Association and the Los Angeles Police Protective League.

San Francisco 49ers CEO Jed York is attempting to repair bridges that the NFL burned with police through allowing kneeling during the National Anthem — player protests that have been intended to bring attention to the claim that blacks are being systematically murdered by police (a claim that is untrue, as studies show that compared to the percentage of violent crimes they commit, whites are more likely to be killed by police than blacks, who commit approximately seven to 10 times more violent crimes than whites, though they make up about 13 percent of the population). This donation is seen as a way to curry favor with the police in a manner that will not be attacked by black radicals. The group attempted to explain away its real purpose with astonishing hypocrisy:

“Nashville Statement” Reviled, Attacked, Satirized

Rainbow flag flapping in the wind

Michael Brown, one of the 150 signers of the Nashville Statement released last week, expressed surprise at all the attacks the statement was getting from those whom he supposed would be expected to support it:

If a group of astronomers issued a major document stating that the earth revolves around the sun and the moon revolves around the earth, it would be greeted with a shrug of the shoulders. Who didn’t know that?

Why, then, has [the Nashville Statement signed] by Christian leaders affirming the basics of Biblical sexuality been greeted with such protest from other professing Christian leaders?

It is because these other “Christian” leaders have rejected the authority of the Word of God.

Brown, the founder and president of the FIRE School of Ministry and author of 20 books on the Christian faith, noted satire by the Babylon Bee of the Nashville Statement with which he actually agreed. The Bee noted:

More Gun-control Hypocrisy Out of Chicago

Rahm Emanuel

When the Chicago Police Department (CPD) reported back in September that 22-year-old Simone Mousheh had been arrested and charged with four felonies for violating gun laws, it noted that Simone is not alone in her crimes: “The Firearms Investigations Team say she is not an uncommon example of a female with a valid FOID [Firearm Owners Identification] who sells guns for profit.”

But, said the announcement, although she faces four felonies, she “will be eligible for a low bond based on her background. History has shown that these cases usually result in a plea of guilty in exchange for felony probation.”

That’s exactly what happened. On April 17

It all sounded so high and mighty: the liberal Princeton Seminary was going to award its Kuyper Prize to a conservative pastor, despite his Calvinist theology. The Kuyper Prize for Excellence in Reformed Theology and Public Witness is awarded each year to someone whose contribution “reflects the ideas and values of the Calvinist vision of religious engagement in matters of social, political, and cultural significance” according to The Layman.

In its announcement, Princeton said that

The Robert F. Kennedy Department of Justice Building in Washington, D.C., headquarters of the United States Department of Justice.

The first sign of trouble at the Department of Justice occurred at about 9 am on Monday when acting Attorney General Sally Yates ordered her staff not to defend Trump’s immigration order. In an email to her staff, Yates opined:

At present, I am not convinced that the defense of the executive order is consistent with these responsibilities of the Department of Justice, nor am I convinced that the executive order is lawful.

She also took exception to the Trump administration’s claim that her own department’s Office of Legal Counsel had adequately cleared the order beforehand, ruling that his order was “lawful on its face”:

[That ruling] does not address whether any policy choice embodied in an executive order is wise or just….

I am responsible for ensuring that the positions we take in court remain consistent with this institution’s solemn obligation to always seek justice and stand for what is right.

And then, sealing her fate, Yates concluded:

On Monday retired Marine General James Cartwright (left) agreed to plead guilty to charges that he lied to the FBI during its investigation into leaks over the clandestine Stuxnet operation back in 2013. Stuxnet was a computer virus, or worm, that was designed to harm Iran’s ability to produce weapons-grade material for its nuclear program. (On that same day, the FBI released documents charging that the Department of Justice offered the FBI a “deal” to reclassify some of Hillary Clinton’s e-mails retroactively.)

Hypocrisy Reigns as New York Times Pays No Income Taxes Yet Attacks Trump’s Taxes

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Monday, October 3, 2016:

The New York Times claimed on Sunday that the front page of Trump’s state income tax returns filed in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut in 1995 prove that the man came close to being a tax cheat:

Donald J. Trump declared a $916 million loss on his 1995 income tax returns, a tax deduction so substantial it could have allowed him to legally avoid paying any federal income taxes for up to 18 years.

The mainstream media trumpeted the storyline incessantly without mentioning simple truths buried in the Times’ report: The hit piece was based on just three pages of the voluminous tax returns Trump filed in that year;

Saul, Hillary, and Gun Confiscation

Saul Alinsky

Saul Alinsky

Wikipedia softly proclaims Saul Alinsky as the “founder of modern community organizing,” who used his “organizing skills” to “improve the living conditions of poor communities.” Alinsky, however, was more than that. Much more. A closer look (see sources below) reveals a Marxist whose goal was to enable fellow travelers in their attempts to destroy capitalism in the United States and replace it with communism. From his Rules for Radicals, Alinsky states:

Undercover Video Confirms Hillary’s Strategy to Ban All Firearms

This article appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Tuesday, July 26, 2016:

Rules for Radicals

The first 57 seconds of James O’Keefe’s latest undercover video interview, of a Clinton delegate from California, confirms what many have long suspected: Hillary Clinton’s real goal of complete and total confiscation of all firearms from every American citizen is being hidden behind benign and persuasive phrases such as “common sense gun control” and “protect our families,” etc.

It also reveals what happens when the “useful idiot” in the video learns that she has been exposed for what she is: a mouthpiece for the movement to disarm America and ultimately turn it into a totalitarian state.

Most importantly it reveals

UN Demands “Robust Gun Control” After Orlando Terror

Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights

Responding to the Islamist terror attack in Orlando that killed 50 people in a “gun-free zone,” the United Nations and its “High Commissioner for Human Rights” claimed again Tuesday that the U.S. government has an “obligation” to implement “robust gun regulation.” According to UN human-rights chief Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, the terrorist massacre and other killings are a “direct result” of the U.S. government’s adherence to the U.S. Constitution’s Second Amendment, which protects the God-given right of Americans to keep and bear arms from infringement.

However, critics ridiculed both the idea and the UN itself, noting, among other facts, that the attack occurred in a “gun-free zone.” In light of the controversial remarks, gun-rights leaders also reiterated calls for the United States to withdraw from the UN and stop funding it with American taxpayer dollars.

The scandal-plagued UN human rights boss, currently under fire worldwide for persecuting whistleblowers to protect child-raping UN “peace” troops, used multiple outright falsehoods to demonize the rights of Americans. Among other claims, the Islamic UN bureaucrat insisted that

Trump: I’m Now Running Against “Crooked Hillary”

As a basketball player plants his pivot foot to the floor, allowing him to move away from danger and toward opportunity, Donald Trump has pivoted his campaign away from further dialogue with and attacks on Ted Cruz and John Kasich and toward his increasingly obvious opponent in the general election, Hillary Clinton.

Some are calling it a master stroke, basing his pivot on the assumption that

Obama’s Gun-control Hypocrisy Called Out by Alabama Senator

On March 30, President Obama commuted the prison sentences of 62 criminals, 12 of whom were behind bars for gun-related drug crimes. This was just too much for Alabama’s senior Senator Richard Shelby (R), so the next day Shelby sent a stinging letter to Attorney General Loretta Lynch. He asked her about the president’s hypocrisy and demanded answers to questions that he posed to her during a committee hearing back in January. Wrote Shelby:

More Obama Hypocrisy Exposed: Executive Clemency Putting Convicted Criminals Back on the Street

This article was published by The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor on Monday, April 11, 2016:

Richard Shelby

Senator Richard Shelby

Former Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson thinks kids are amazing:

Kids have what I call a built-in hypocrisy antenna that comes up and blocks out what you’re saying when you’re being a hypocrite.

Richard Shelby, Alabama’s senior Republican senator (who will be celebrating his 82nd birthday in three weeks) must be a kid at heart. The day after President Obama announced that he was commuting the sentences of 61 more convicted criminals under his new touchy feely “executive clemency” program, Shelby smelled hypocrisy. This was the same president who, in January, announced a bevy of executive actions designed, he said, to reduce crime. Last week’s announcement brings the total number of criminals who have had their sentences commuted or eliminated altogether to 248, more than the total of the last six presidents combined. Thirty-three of them were convicted of gun-related crimes.

Shelby may be a kid at heart but he’s also old enough not to be concerned about what people think. He wrote a scathing letter about Obama’s hypocrisy to his legal enabler, Attorney General Loretta Lynch. One can read the whole thing by clicking through the source below, but here is the choicest part:

Anti-gun Senator Schumer Calls for Investigation Into iPhone-shaped Gun

Schumer rolled out all the scary words he could think of in his attempt to describe it: deadly, nefarious, outrageous, threatening, dangerous, and a disaster about to happen:

Koch Brothers’ Network to Spend $900 Million on 2016 Elections

This article first appeared online at TheNewAmerican.com on Tuesday, January 27, 2015:

Spokesmen for Freedom Partners, the Koch Brothers-funded “chamber of commerce” and sponsor of their annual winter meeting in Palm Springs, announced last weekend that its network of over 200 wealthy conservatives is planning on raising nearly $900 million to invest in the 2016 elections. This is more than double what the network raised and spent during the 2012 presidential campaign, and exceeds what both political parties spent that year put together.

Freedom Partners is building on the momentum from the November elections that gave Republicans control of the Senate and expanded their majority in the House of Representatives. As Freedom Partners President Marc Short remarked, “2014 was nice but there’s a long way to go.” He noted that his group’s ultimate goal is to make the ideals of a free market “central” in American society, adding, “Politics is a necessary means to that end.” Freedom Partners invested more than $400 million in those midterm elections.
